I need help from all you travelers. I am on mobile so I can't search. We are looking to book our honeymoon soon. Our friends recommended the sandals resorts but they have also never been anywhere but them. I have been to one all inclusive before and loved it. We are looking for adult only and any where but Jamaica or Mexico. So Caribbean. Why would you pick sandals over another resort and vise versa. What do you like and not like about sandals? Any recommendations are great. I have been online looking and I can't decide.

We got engaged in Mexico at the Valentin Imperial Maya. Look it up! We had THE BEST time there. Wonderful food and service.

@NatHam you will love it! It has a low key vibe and a slightly older crowd but we had a blast. We upgraded to a room right on the beach and it was heavenly.

All you wanting to know all about Sandals. This site is awesome. The pros, cons and things to know. I was a hard core Sandals honeymoon guy until I read this and everyone I wanted to go to had a major con I didn't want to go any longer...ie like a small or rocky beach when we want a walkable beach and so on. Make sure you check this out. It's an amazing comprehensive list from someone who is been to all and it's recent from March 17. http://www.vacationdealstravel.com/caribbean-vacation/best-sandals-resorts.html

@ Shaun - When you go to your profile there's Our Latest Community Activity. It will show you which of the threads you've commented on have been commented on recently. It also keeps the threads you've commented on. It's helpful to me because I don't comment on many threads a week so I can easily go through the list of threads I've commented on to find the ones I wanted to remember.

@shaun, thank you for the website. there was a few that interested me, but man is the cost crazy! We are also thinking of going for 10-12 days so the price is a little overwhelming.

Yeah Sandals is crazy. Go to Couples ..if it's 12 days they are way more reasonable.

As I read many of the comments on this blog, I'm curious to know how many actually compared the different locations in person? I Love Sandals... All AI's are not the same. If you read information on most of these other All-Inclusive hotels, their version of all inclusive is limited; for example, many of them only give three meals a day and those meals are limited to buffet style meals. Additionally their idea of all inclusive drinks is limited . Premium drinks cost extra. At Sandals, its all inclusive! At sandals I can order a lobster and steak dinner and when I'm done I can order another lobster if I'm still hungry. You get premium drinks stocked in your room. The only time you pay for drinks is if its really exotic or if they have to purchase the drink from a local resource. When I go to a sandals resort, I DO NOT TOUCH MY WALLET UNLESS I LEAVE THE HOTEL!!! I have stayed at other AI resorts... at the end of the day Sandals is a cut above the rest. Food selection is better, drinks is better, rooms are definitely better and if you decide to try the butler serviced rooms... You will never go back. Imagine calling your butler on the cell phone given to you by the hotel, an having him arrange a blanket, a bottle of wine and a assortment of fruit and cheeses to be placed by the beach at sunset. Or calling your butler to arrange for breakfast on the balcony of your room. Some might say this is unnecessary, but I believe if you truly want to experience a stress-free, vacation filled with bliss, then every detail counts and Sandals makes it happen. Speaking from experience.

I went to TRS Turquesa twice in the past. I will not be returning. First time we were treated great and couldn’t wait to go back. Second time we were treated fairly at best, food was terrible. And no personal anything from the workers. Aside from that this there was a heavy stench of sewage by the “secret” pool. I was so unimpressed the second time that I booked sandals Grenada. Got a free night for anniversary and also used the 777 sale so got a beachfront room relatively inexpensive I thought. TRS was roughly 5200 including airfare from Chicago. Sandals is under 6. There is no way service at sandals can possibly be any worse. When I inquired about four workers who were at TRS the first visit I was there I was told they all went to different resorts. After that visit I can see why
