Sandals Resorts

kbrands, on June 29, 2017 at 8:17 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

We are considering a Sandals resort for our honeymoon but wanted to hear others experiences with the resorts. Which location was your favorite and why? Was it worth the money? Would you go back? Would you recommend any other adult only, all inclusive resort instead? Thanks for the help ahead of time Smiley smile

Following. I have been looking into Sandals in St Lucia. Also trying to decide if it is worth the cost.

Following...FH and I booked Sandals St Lucia La Toc for our honeymoon. Would love to see what people have to say. Also, trip advisor has reviews too!

We booked Royal Bahamian Sandals Resort in Nassau. We've never been there. A couple that comes into my workplace went for Memorial Day weekend last month and they said it was amazing. The woman said her sister goes every year. They said it wasn't worth it to get the room with the swim up pool because your neighbors are right there looking at you and it's weird. It looks awesome! I can't wait to go

Personally I feel like you are paying extra for the name. There are resorts that are nicer with better reviews that cost less. Do your research.

We just got back from an AMAZING honeymoon in St. Lucia and opted for a smaller beachfront resort. It all depends on your priorities. If you don't plan to explore/seek out local restaurants and want to have everything done for you in one place, then dropping the money on a Sandals all-inclusive might feel worth it to you. We chose a breakfast only meal plan at Bay Gardens Beach Resort (less than $300/night) which allowed us to try a different restaurant every night and have plenty of money left to spend on excursions (fishing, whale watching, catamaran tour, mountain climbing, ziplining, etc...). You just have to consider the type of experience you and FH are looking for!

I am going to have to agree with Macy here. I used to work in the travel business, and Sandals is always pretty far down on my recommendation list. They are definitely not bad resorts; the Sandals brand has been around for a long time and they are good at what they do. But you are paying more and getting less than you would at Secrets, for example.

We are staying at sandals grande Antigua for our honeymoon. I had posted on my FB for any recommendations from my friends who have previously went and everyone raved about it. Every person said they would go back in a heartbeat!

Personally, I think anywhere you go with your new husband will be amazing!

We are going to Southcoast Jamaica Sandals. My sister has been and had the time of her life. She said they are going to go back annually because it was so amazing. I cant wait!

We are doing Sandals Grande St Lucia because I am obsessed with the over the water bungalow option. That said, I have never been to a Sandals before but two of my best friends had their honeymoon at Antingua and loved it. I have stayed at several all inclusives in Jamaica that were not Sandals and they were all lovely. Hilton Rosehall is nice but is family oriented. Jewel Paradise Cove is really nice and much quieter and adult only. Couples Negril was one of my favorites - a good combination of party atmosphere, adults only, and romance. All 3 of those places are cheaper than Sandals. Couples actually includes more things in their all-inclusive package for a cheaper price (they also include spa and some excursions). If I had not gone there with my ex-husband and FH and I had not already been to Jamaica, I would love to go back there!

Stayed at a sandals in Jamaica years ago. I didn't actually think it was all that special. We have stayed at 4* resorts since they are nicer.

If you want an amazing experience look into the Secrets chain of resorts. They are amazing.
