Sandy feet from beach ceremony

Erica, on April 11, 2021 at 10:35 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
Hi brides!
We are doing a beach wedding & it’s always been my dream to be barefoot, toes in the sand! I will be wearing shoes for the reception & need a way for me, the bridal party & guests to clean off their feet before going into the reception. Any of you ladies done this & what did you do? Thanks for the suggestions!!

Hi Erica! Love the beach weddings!! Nothing is more romantic ❤️ Perhaps pack a small, hidden bag of those flushable wipes and a bottled water on hand to wash? Hand towels are a good size to dry off🦶🏼🌅

Where will the wedding be? Many beaches have little foot washing stations in addition to regular shower-style stations, so if it's a popular beach you might find some of those. Otherwise bring along some gallons of water to quickly rinse with.

I think some towels will be fine. I imagine you aren't going into the water, so wiping dry sand off your feet won't be too difficult.

I got married on the beach and was barefoot. I had a pair of flip flops I put on afterwards until I could use a towel to get the sand off. If you aren’t in wet sand a towel will be fine.

As long as the sand is dry, a simple towel will knock it off. I would not want to put wet feet into clean dry expensive shoes if there are no towels nearby.

Baby powder works too, on dusting off dry sand

It’s on Jekyll Island, GA. I’m sure there is somewhere. I will look next time I go out there. Thank you!
