sangria recipe?

Jess, on September 6, 2016 at 1:22 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

Anyone have a tried and true sangria recipe they'd share with me? Or an idea how to make 5 gallons of sangria lol? Thanks!

I made a really good peach sangria the other day for a bridal shower. It was a huge hit.

    750ml reisling white wine

1 1/2 cups peach flavoured iced tea

    1/4 cup peach schnapps

    3 peaches thinly sliced

    1 large granny smith sliced

    1 lemon sliced

OMG I made this last night and all day I've been dreaming of drinking some more tonight. But I cut out the club soda. I hate club soda in sangria. Adjust it as you see fit:

2 bottles chilled dry red wine, like Rioja

    1 cup brandy

    1 cup orange juice

    1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar

2 oranges, cut into thin rounds

2 Meyer lemons, cut into thin rounds

3 Key limes, cut into thin rounds

2 apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch chunks

    2 cups cold club soda

Got the recipe from The Food Network using Google.

    1 cup peach schnapps

    1 cup pineapple juice

1 gallon jug of Carlo Rossi wine (cheap stuff works best for sangria!)

1/2 bottle of E&J brandy (again cheap!)

    1/2 bottle of OJ

Fruit (you can use frozen but fresh is best I usually use apples, oranges and strawberries for red and peaches and strawberries for white)

    Gingerale or seltzer

I soak my fruit in the brandy overnight to make the fruit very boozy but not needed. Combine all the ingredients and stir! Gingerale/seltzer is to help cut it because the recipe is strong, and if you like sweeter sangria add some simple syrup!
