Satin or Chiffon

I reallly LOVE the style of the satin dress but both are pretty! I think the chiffon might be better for July tho. It doesn't look like either dress would be a big problem in the hip area tho. Both look like they have a decent amount of room and are not skin tight.

If the girls don't have a preference, I vote for the chiffon. I love satin and my BM dresses were satin, but in July.... chiffon will be better IMHO

My vote is for the chiffon dress. The satin choice is very pretty, but I was a bridesmaid at an outdoor wedding and was very uncomfortable in a satin dress. I think chiffon would have been at least a little cooler. Now even the thought of satin in the summer gets me feeling to and itchy.

I concur with the chiffon...and it has a nice flowing design...I think it will be perfect!! :-)

I love chiffon- my dresses will be chiffon. That being said, I like the cut of the satin one much better. It's a cut that would look good on just about anyone. But, it also depends on what your dress looks like and the theme- these are extremely different styles of dresses, and I can't see both of them going with one wedding dress and theme. The satin one is very retro 50's, and the chiffon one is very... drapey (sorry, I'm just not a fan of the chiffon one).

I pick chiffon, only because I don't like the sheen of satin. Too shiny and crinkly looking for my taste. Chiffon is more flowly and soft. The chiffon dress is pretty.

I vote for the satin!

Chiffon. As a bigger girl with VERY wide hips the chiffon would be a more flattering style.

I can't see the dresses but I'd 100% go with chiffon. They'll be cooler and I much prefer chiffon over satin in just the way it looks and feels.

I hate satin. I personally think it looks like a cheap fabric almost 100% of the time, and it shows every last flaw. It's also not breathable. Chiffon FTW.

Chiffon. Satin is very unforgiving, shows everything, and is hot in the summer. If any of your girls feel self-conscious in chiffon, Spanx fixes anyting.

My BM's are in Satin but mainly b/c my sister's body type looks better in a satin dress at David's Bridal. She's the MOH and her body size is just hard sometimes. She's big on bottom and small on top, the other BM's are tall and thinner. I want my sister to be comfortable so I had her try on a fabric (chiffon or satin) and she can pick what feels more comfortable. The BMs can choose their style within that fabric.

I would say chiffon, because I don't like Satin and because its a hotter month. With that said, I think both dresses are beautiful. Ironically, I especially like the satin one! However, because of the month I would have the girls wear chiffon. Its way too hot to be in anything else and their comfort should be the priority, but they are both beautiful.

Normally I'd say chiffon but I think the Alfred Sung dresses are way prettier so I'd go with those.
