Saturday wedding timeline

Amber, on March 26, 2019 at 7:03 AM Posted in Planning 1 10
I have no idea what time our Saturday wedding timeline is so far we get the keys to our venue early Saturday morning. We're not getting married till September 19, 2020 and I believe we meet with the venue ppl to plan out our wedding soon. I'm trying to book this hair stylist and make-up artist and theyre asking what time of wedding and as of right now I have no idea. At our wedding venue theres an bridal suite for me and my bridesmaid to get hair n make-up done n dressed so rather going to a salon I'm going to have them come to us instead.

Do you know what time you want to have the ceremony? Are you doing a first look? Does the stylist really need to know the time now or are they just curious? We just set the timeline last week for our wedding on April 13th and that depended on how many of the bridal party we’re getting their hair and makeup done. We knew we wanted to do the first look so our stylists built that into their timeline as well as our ceremony start time of 5pm.

Did you sign a contract with your venue yet? You would have likely discussed a rough outline of timing of ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner. I am getting married in June and I haven't set up a time with the HMUA yet. So I am sure a round about time would be good enough for them.

I'm going to pull out our paperwork n see again i know we have a sit down to start planning our bar menu n stuff like that but they haven't replied back to my email which I'm going to contact her today tho.

Yes, I get that, but you could also ask them if they really need the set time right now or if they’re looking for a general timeline and you can confirm the actual timeline later on. I was also suggesting things to consider if you haven’t thought about your timeline yet that would factor into your hair and makeup timeline

Are you doing the set up on the day of? Also, how early of a riser are you and how long did your hair and makeup people estimate it would take them? You definitely don't want to feel rushed on your day. And, do you want to have sunlight during the ceremony and wedding party photos? Are you doing a sit down dinner or just heavy hors d'oeurves? All of that can help you figure out your timeline.
