Save the Date Magnets Postage

FYI - sadly I learned this the hard way, but magnet save the date postage requires a $0.71 post stamp (one forever & one postcard stamp, or 1x 2 oz stamp) even if the weight is under an oz.

That's awesome! I bought mine early because they currently have 75% off with free shipping. I won't be sending mine out until the end of the year but this was good to know. Thank you for the quick response and Happy New Year!! Smiley smile

Take one to the post office to have it weighed for correct postage. It’s better to do that first than to have them all returned to you marked up for not having enough postage and having to get new envelopes to restuff.

Thanks. I'm gonna head to the post office and have it weighed. The website claims that they are .5 Oz but you just never know. Hopefully 1 stamp is adequate. And I hope I don't have to get new envelopes. LOL. They're kinda small.

You’ll be ok with one stamp! My STD’s all made it safely, no issues of sticking or being bounced back.

Did just one forever stamp work?

Yes, one forever stamp works specifically for the 4x5.5 size magnets. Hope this helps!

Has anyone used Walgreens to print their save-the-date magnets? If so, how many stamps did you have to use?

Hi! Just for clarification, did you just use the regular stamps and take them into the post office! I’m looking at getting the same size and don’t want to pay $150+ on stamps if I need double 😅

Yes! I used regular stamps and brought them to the post office!
As long as it's just the magnet (a standard fridge magnet in an envelope) no wax seals, etc.

Ooh great! I dont know why I’ve been hearing so many multiple stories on needing different stamps! Some people were saying they can’t go through the normal machine. Did any of yours get sent back??

Only a few that had wrong addresses. But only like 2 out of 125 lol so I'll take it!
If anything (and you have the time) you can put one in an envelope and bring to the post office. They can confirm for you by the weight but I had absolutely no issue with a standard stamp!!

Thank you so much for all of your help! I’ve been going back and forth of whether or not to risk it 😅.
