Save the date question

We relied on my mom and my FH’s mom to gather family member addresses for us (luckily they had most of them already). And we gathered friends’ addresses.

We did the same thing as Cece. I will say we did have one save the date get returned to us since my mother-in-law had the wrong address for one person.

I have been saving addresses for the past couple years. Family/family friends the parents were asked for addresses. Some I did a Google search to confirm. Otherwise I just messaged people on facebook/instagram/snapchat/text.


Will no be reaching out again for invites and hoping if anyone moved they forwarded their address. 😂

Our parents were in charge of collecting family and family friends addresses (they either already had them or texted/emailed - for example, my dad emailed all his siblings and CC'd me asking for all of their and their children's addresses); H and I texted our friends for theirs. Divide and conquer!

We mailed ours but it took a while to gather addresses for them. But... I don't have to re-gather for the invites, so it was work the work now instead of stressing as we got closer to the wedding.

I found a website that family members and friends could use to fill out their information and also we messaged family members on facebook lol

We used electronic save the dates via greenvelope. Sent them by peoples phone numbers and then guests could message back their addresses. I received most addresses and will send formal invitations out later.

I had some already mostly family members, and FH had a lot of his family members. But I mostly done all the address hunting cause I didn't want to bother FH with it, but I did have him to get a few for me of friends and family on his side that he wants to invite. But I sent out a message that I just copied and pasted into each person's inbox on FB and got the addresses that way and it worked out really well. We have all except for about 5 and FH & I both said if we don't get those 5 remaining addresses, we are not gonna worry about it, because we have sent several messages and no response and I am not the one to hound someone for an address. And once I order my invites, I will not be ordering extras so I will only be sending out invites to the ones who we have addresses for. So no need for the ones who didn't reply to our request of asking for their address at the beginning to contact me at the last minute with their address and no need for them to get mad when they don't receive one. They only have themselves to blame. Cause I am done contacting people for addresses. I had 120 guest and FH and I removed some already that haven't replied with their address. I also lost a good friend this week. I just talked to her last week and she sent me her address for an invite, and she passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 26th. So I will not be filling her spot with someone else. I refuse to do so.
