Save the Date Video

Lolerskates84, on September 21, 2015 at 6:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7

Hi! Trying to stay on budget so we are thinking of creating a Save the Date video instead of sending cards. Does anyone have insight on what software to use? I'm hoping to find something free online that i can download. Are there free customize-able templates? I would need something simple and easy to use because this is new to me. Thanks much :o)

We are doing a video too, FH found a website where there are some templates. They were not free though, I he spent $28 for the license to use it. It was from here: http://videohive.net/item/save-the-date/2486900. You need to know how to use after effects though.

You taught me something new today, I've never heard of this before now! I'd be interested in seeing the finished video if you or CB end up doing this!

Hmm so I've seen a few Save The Date videos but they were done by professional videographers or through a paid service. Are you trying to piece together different videos or pictures? You can check out Animoto or smilebox for picture slideshows and can add writing, but that's about all I know!

I would probably just do a picture slideshow just to be simple. something like this maybe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0lc9yDshdt0

    Thanks for the info!

I did my wedding annoucement video and posted it to my wedding website and youtube.

I used a simple video maker (windows video maker) you can do just about anything with pictures, videos, and songs.

    Check it out...

I maybe should have mentioned as well that my FH is a professional video editor Smiley smile So he definitely has the skills to do it, but it seemed like this particular sample didn't require too many.

@JamieLynn: We are waiting for the CD with our engagement pictures (the ones I shared were screenshots from the online view) and then he'll put something together. I will definitely share it here Smiley smile
