Hello !
My wedding day is 09-06-2024. I have already ordered and received my Save the Dates, but when should I send them out?

Typically, STDs are sent out about 6 months in advance. But if your wedding is a destination wedding, or the majority of your guests will need to travel for your event, STDs can be sent up to a year in advance (in order to allow guests plenty of time to plan, request off work, save money, and make travel arrangements).

P.S. I LOOOOOVE your STDs!!! is this the vibe you are going to have for your wedding?!

Send them out 6-12 months before the wedding. Also, because they are informal, you can save postage by hand delivering them to local guests.

Since your wedding is on a Friday (assuming many people will need to take off from work), it might make sense to send them out with as much notice as possible (striking a balance between send them out too early and have people forget). I'd suggest ~12/11 months in advance

Hi! I sent mine at the 11 month mark. May 2023 for an April 2024 wedding. Honestly, if most of your guests are out of state, I think 11-12 month mark is great.

I mailed our “save the date cards” 5 months before our wedding date. I hope this helps 😊

I would wait at least until less than a year, or there will be confusion with people thinking the wedding is in September of this year. It has happened before. Before sending, make sure your guest list is finalized, because a STD is binding and you can't change it later.

Probably 8 months before, so February 2024 being it is Labor Day week and a lot of people take family vacations. Then your invitations 3 months before. (June2024)....That is what I would do...I am getting married New Years Eve 2023, so I sent Save the Dates January 2023 (11 months before)) and the Invitations are going out end of July 2023, 5 months before being it is a holiday....

    Best WIshes,

    Lorri

It's up to you honestly ! It depends on how many you are sending. If some are going farther away I would send them a week earlier than all the others. If your wedding is September 2024 then I would probably aim for them to start being sent around end of October- November
