My wedding is 4.24.20. Is it too late to send out save the dates?

Honestly, I wouldn’t waste the money. If I were you, I would send out your actual invites in January so you can have the RSVP response date for March 24. That way, you can have exactly a month to let them start coming in since people tend to delay when sending them back and you don’t have to stress as much!

If it's in budget, I'd send them out no later than the end of this month if you want (or if you have out of state guests) but they aren't necessary since invites will go out in February or so.

You could always do a combination Christmas card/Save the Date! There are quite a few on Shutterfly and Minted!

I agree with MrsD. If it's in your budget, I'd send them out before the end of the month if it's important to you to send them. If it's not in your budget or if it's not important to you, I'd just send out your invitations.

I agree with MrsD also! We planned on sending ours out at the 6 month mark but ended up moving up our wedding date so they actually ended up going out at the 4 month mark since we had already ordered them. If it's something you really want to do, I say go for it. Otherwise, save some dollars where you can!

Save your money or if you're sending out christmas cards anyway maybe combine that with a save the date?

My wedding is 04/09 and I still haven't sent our save the dates out. They sit in a box in our living room. We have been struggling with nailing down our guest list!!!

I would skip them altogether at this point. As a bonus, you'll save some $$$

I would skip them at this point. I'll be getting married two days after you and we just ordered our invitations and plan to send them out the end of next month. So maybe you should just send out invitations early next month.

For me, I sent electronic save the dates back in July! So it was free for me. I agree though with the majority of posters that skipping at this point would be fine.

Its a little late, but if you really want to go for it. You could do a Save the date that doubles as a holiday card maybe? But otherwise your invitations should be going out around the end of January (by most timelines) so you could also just skip it. Our wedding is April 18th 2020, we sent save the dates out at the beginning of November and will be sending invitations sometime in January.
