Save the Dates and Invitations

Tiffany, on July 19, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 32

Do people in your bridal party and the parents of the bride and groom, etc, get a Save the Date and invitation or no? I'm looking at ordering Save the Dates and wont be ordering invitations for a while but I just want to have an idea if I need to send them one or not. These things are expensive! Smiley atonished

For me personally, FH and I didn't send Save the Dates. If we did, I think we would've not given one to the bridal party or parents - they already knew the information Smiley smile

It's personal preference. Our parents definitely still want an invite as a keep sake so that I understand. We're giving one to our bridal party just to be on the safe side Smiley xd . We don't want any excuses from anyone lol.

I didn’t do Save the dates at all just because from the span of us getting engaged to our wedding now is pretty short (6 months). I did however send the wedding invitations to our parents and the bridal party. I didn’t give them RSVP cards though. They’re required to be there! Lol 😂

Yes, definitely send to bridal party and parents! They’ll love to have them as a keepsake. I might be a little confused or offended if I was close enough to be asked to be in someone’s wedding, but not get a save the date or actual invite (but that’s just me lol). I think Walgreens photo just had a 50% off sale on everything, we saved a lot doing ours through there and they came out super nice and were available for pickup later that day!

Do you want them to come? If so, you should invite them.

We sent both to all, including parents and bridal party. We wanted everyone to get one, and have the written information in front of them!

You don't have to send STD's, you go just send an invitation but yes, everyone invited needs an invitation. You don't have to send each person their own, but 1 invite to each household.

It depends. We sent them to ours. BUT ours were free. DIY.

My FSIL&FBIL were not good on communication. Fiance and I didnt know when or where their wedding was til we got their invite... and fiance was IN the wedding.

I got an invite and RSVPd to my besties wedding.

If you can swing it, I would.

We gave a STD and invitation to parents, siblings and wedding party. We wanted to make sure everyone had that correct information well in advance and could plan accordingly. Although, none of our wedding party will RSVP so knowing this I RSVP'd for them lol.

They are expensive. It's up to you. My Wedding Party did because I wanted them to have as a keepsake. Also, Unfortunately where we getting married I have to count us as a head count so it kind of helped me.

    Good luck

My family is traditional so I sent them to everyone. Got them off Shutterfly I think and just went basic to accommodate the masses

Yes. EVERYONE gets one. Parents will want one and the ability to save it. As well as the fact they are prolly “old school” and to NOT get an invite means you are Not invited.
Unless you have 20 people in the wedding party( and those people would be guests you’d send an invite to anyway!) it won’t cutcosts that much.
