I wouldn't! I've seen most brides wait until invitations, but even then it's not very polite as it seems gift grabby.

I would suggest putting your wedding website on your STD so guests will learn more about the day and can find your registry that way.

Nooooooooo. Not on invitations either. The best way to pass the info is through word of mouth, or on your website if you have one.

I've heard through plenty that sending it with your save the dates is acceptable. Not with invitations though. But you can disclose your wedding website with your STDs if you choose that instead.

STDs are just that. Info about your wedding date. Stick to that. Our invites have the invite, rsvp and a business card size paper that says "please visit our wedding website for any additional information www.weddingwebsite.com" hoping people visit it and get info about parking and day of stuff so we get less questions and if they happen to see were registered at both Amazon and target, wonderful. It's on our site but we didn't include any specific info about them anywhere.

No, registry information can be shared via word of mouth, on your wedding website, or on your shower invitations. You can include your wedding website information on your STDs if you have one.

No. Registry info is fine for a wedding website or shower invitations but NOT for STDs or wedding invitations.

No, you tell your registry info to whoever is planning your shower, and they will put it on the shower invitation.

Nope. That would come across pretty gift grabby. If they want to know they will ask you or a different family member.

I just sent out my save the dates this morning! We have a lot of out of town guests, so it was necessary for me to include my website with lodging information. Our website also has a link to our registry, so we hoped this would be the best way to get the information to people, without directly mentioning it!

It is poor etiquette to send registry information with Save the Date's or invites. You can include your website (which has registry info). People will find it there or ask you or your family/bridesmaids.

Yes, leave it off invitations and STDs completely and instead add it to your website. If you aren't doing a website then wait until your shower and let the hosts include it then.

Nope, but you can and should include a link to your wedding website so curious guests can read more about the when and where of your wedding details. They can also view your registries from there if they'd like, but generally outright saying "this is where you should buy a gift" on your STD/invitation is considered pretty rude.

We didn't have our registry done yet when we sent out STDs (i procrastinated on setting it up, bigtime)...my MIL told me to have it done in time for when invites were going out for our first shower, so about 3 months before the wedding in our case. we linked to the registry on our wedding website and gave the info to people hosting pre-wedding events so they could share.

Definitely don't put registry info on STDs or wedding invitations. Gifts do not get mentioned anywhere on wedding invitations. A STD is simply a notification that your guest will be receiving an invitation to your wedding (so it's pretty much an invitation to your wedding). The purpose is so your guests know to keep your wedding date available, not to request a wedding gift.

It's acceptable to put your registry info on your wedding website, and you can include your website address on your STD and/or wedding invitation. You don't state anything along the lines of visiting the website for registry info, though. You can provide the wedding website address for "additional information" or for "hotel information." Otherwise, you only provide guests with your registry info if they reach out to you and ask if you are registered or if someone is throwing a shower for you (in which case, the host will ask for your registry info so she can include it on the shower invitations).
