Save the dates without a photo

Ordering ours soon and they will most definitely not have our picture. They'll be similar to the invites I'm looking to order later and match our color scheme

Ours did not have a photo on it.

Mine didn't have a photo, I found vintage style travel postcards on Zazzle that I used, I loved them!

Does everyone who is invited know both of you? It was important to us to have a photo because neither of us had met the other's extended family.

Ours didn't have a photo . I ordered them from vista print . They reminded me of the night sky with all the stars and kind of tied into our venue. They looked pretty classy in my opinion. I don't think it's weird at all .

I thought the same thing but didn't want to wait for our engagement shoot (good thing it had to be rescheduled four times). Find something cute and send it along!

I see plenty without photos. I only wanted a photo on ours because we invited relatives I've never met, and I'd like them to know what I look like before hand.

I absolutely did not want to send out a photo of us staring goopily at each other! I designed our STD postcards; the front was an image of a vintage map of our hometown that was a free download from the Library of Congress's website, and the back had the wedding deets. I had them printed at a local shop.

Totally up to you weather to have a photo or not

@Magnolia - That is extremely rude to say, I am having a picture of my FH and I on our save the dates and I am not "extremely into myself."

No it's not weird. I sent mine out last month without pictures. Everyone said they were nice.

Ours don't have them. I put all of our engagement pictures on our wedding website so if guests want to see them they can go there and look at them

We didn't have a photo on ours and ended up using one for invitations instead. I guess because it was just a save the date, we didn't feel the need to go that extra mile. So no pressure, you do you!

I think it's perfectly fine not to do a photo. I don't think I'm doing a photo on mine.

@jessica thank you! My best friend is a graphic designer and does invitations on the side (don't worry I am paying her) so I just let her have at it with the type of vibe we are going for; Art Deco/Art Nouveau and she killed it!

She will be doing our invitation suite as well - and with my FH also being an artist, its been hard pleasing him with design stuff (he's had a say in every decision we have made) and he was blown away with her work!

I dont think it's weird to not have photo on save the dates...as cute as it may be, I understand that it can become costly. As for myself, I would love to do the ones with photos however its just not in the budget. I am actually sending my save the dates through email....so I totally understand where you're coming from.

There are also a lot of ways to make save the dates without having a photo on them. Good luck !

Great responses. We will not be including a photo on our STDs either. I'd rather display our engagement photos on our wedding website instead.
