Crystal, on June 17, 2020 at 12:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
When is a good time to send save the dates? I have 5 months till my wedding but due to COVID was barley able to take my engagement pictures this month for save the dates.

Agreed, unless you’re having a destination wedding, I would just skip save the dates and save some money.

On the off chance that you still want to send Save the Dates, I would send them now as soon as possible, and send the invites 2 months before your wedding.

I would either skip or do electronic ones.

I would skip them at this point. Save the dates are normally sent 8-6 months prior so I wouldn't spend the money on them.

At this point, I would skip save the dates.

Invitations usually go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. If you don't send save the dates, you could just send your invitations at the 8 week mark to give people extra notice.

Save the dates are sent out at the 6 month mark. You can send them if you want (via text/email) or just send invites 2 months ahead on schedule.

I would say skip the save the dates at this point and just send the invites. Maybe you could use the engagement photos to display at your venue.

If you want to send them, send them now. People might enjoy getting a happy thing to think about.

My daughter's wedding was postponed a year so she just sent out her second round of 'Save the Dates' and she said printing companies are hurting and so her price on this set was half of what she paid for the first round.
