Save the dates

Laura, on November 12, 2023 at 9:35 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
How did y’all deal with few people telling you that they never received the STD’s ? Should I send them again to those people or should I just go straight to the invitation when the time comes ? I have double checked the list several times and I sent them, in fact 98% of the people have received theirs. Is it a mail problem or maybe they let their mail pile up and are saying they never got it ?

Probably a mail issue. If you have extras, you could send another one.

You never know, of course, but there's no doubt that mail is not infrequently lost by the post office. I'd give it a couple of weeks to be sure, then send a new one.

We had that happen a couple times to us too.. we ended up just sending another one and asking the couple to confirm they received it!

Thanks Lauren I’ll do that too! Any tips on how to track the invitations? I feel like those are more important because I need to know how’s attending or not

So should I just assume that whoever doesn’t send it back isn’t coming or should I reach them to double check?

All invited guests should send back the RSVP either way. They will either mark yes, they plan to attend; or no, they do not plan to attend. If somebody doesn’t send one back at all, you would reach out to them after the RSVP deadline has passed.

Most of them I just verified their address for the invites and verbally told them the date.

We avoided this because in our social circles, save the dates are sent over the phone or in person. None of the information was able to get lost. It has worked for generations with no problems. For those whose numbers we don’t have, we sent the information online via email or instant messenger how we usually communicate.
