Save the Dates

Melissa, on June 17, 2021 at 3:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 15
Hi All!!! I'll make this short.

So last minute I decided to send out save the dates a couple of weeks ago. Im getting married in August. My MOH did them and sent them to my guest list, I sent my fiancé out myself because getting my fiance family address was like pulling teeth. Anyways, both sides of our family have recieved them. Now remind you are save the dates were NOT done professionally, but the picture of us on the save the date is BEAUTIFUL. However all I kept hearing were people complaining about the writing on the save the dates, and how you can't see the date. My reply was, I apologize that you can't read it, BUT the invitations will be alot better. But when my fiance family receives them, all they did isSave the Dates 1

complain, COMPLAINED, COMMMMPPPLLLAAINED.
Omggggg, really folks. Don't you see the beautiful picture. Also they complained because I only put my name on the return address and not my fiance. My fiance got mad at me. I just wrote a return address I didn't know both names were supposed to be on it.Damnnn people it's not that serious.
Yeah I get it!!! Its definitely hard see the date in the save the date. BUT, ITS THERE!!!

Ugh I am so sorry people are complaining to you. I think they look beautiful! I'm trying to prepare myself for when we send out Save the Dates and invites for people to complain. Just try to tell yourself not to get worked up about it (I know it's easier said than done) because you've already sent them out so there's no point in getting upset about it.

Beautiful picture, I do get what they are saying with not being able to see the date. But in that case just verbally tell them the date problem solved lol. Unfortunately people like to complain about EVERYTHINGGGGG

Some people just love to complain. Ignore them! The photo is beautiful and so are the save the dates. I can read it just fine and I don't even physically have one in front of me!

I think they're beautiful!! Is the date hard to read? Yea sure, but do we honestly need to complain about that?! lol. People LOVE to complain and criticize everything, especially when it comes to weddings, which is really sad.

Just ignore them lol. They'll get an invite with a date on it too, so they can get over it lol.

Omggg I LOVEEEEEE this picture. I’ve found by talking less about the wedding to others has kept me sane. Also if people make comments I’m just letting it go or saying something like “my fiancé and I have to talk about xyz”. Like people have been saying it’s ridiculous how much money weddings are, we don’t need a bridal shower, etc but come to find out the people saying that had a live band and DJ, extravagant shower and such compares to us. People just want to talk to talk lol. Do what’s best for you and your fiancé!

    Thanks Megan
I do the same thing. When people ask me about wedding and how it's going. I simply say, I DONT WANT TO TALK about it.
And true, nobody has OFFERED to help pay for anything so they have no room to talk.

They sound like the type who would find something to complain about no matter how perfect they were. Don’t take it personally. Once you accept that this is just how they are, the easier it will be to ignore it! I have an uncle who gets worked up over ridiculous things, and it has almost become a game with my brothers and I guessing what irrelevant topic (turf on a high school football field, candy bar, etc.) will set him off each holiday!

    RIGHT!!! Why complain???
But people always feel the need to comment on things they didn't pay for.
