Save the dates/invitation websites

Emely, on March 25, 2021 at 8:51 AM Posted in Planning 5 23
Hey everyone!

I was wondering which website is your all time favorite for save the dates and invitations and why?I was set on Minted but I ordered the save the dates samples (non personalized) over two weeks ago and nothing. I keep wondering how long it’s gonna take for the real personalized save the dates. I really liked their designs and prices tho!For those who chose minted, how long did it take?
Thank you!

I used Vistaprint for my magnet save the dates. I then found Ann's Bridal Bargains and used them for my invitations.

    Dear Emely,

We ordered samples (non-edited) from Minted and it took a long time, too; like forever. We ordered like one of every type of paper and like 10 different cards or something. Note that COVID is really slowing down both production and mail. However, we ordered our Save-the-Dates from them recently and couldn't be happier! They'll be here today, which is less than a business week away from when I ordered them (last Saturday).

In addition to our "traditional" Save-the-Dates that we're sending out, they offer magnetic save-the-dates, and we decided to rework them a bit and purchase them as give-aways (because they're marketed as Save-the-Dates, we saved over $100 by buying the two together during a "save-the-date" sale and will keep the magnets as wedding favors).

All in all, we purchased foil-printed Save-the-Dates (with our photo on the front and a blank back), foil lined envelopes with recipient and return addressing already printed along with our "thank you for joining us" magnets for $225.

The only thing that frustrated me about this process was that I couldn't buy blue, foil-lined envelopes. They have to be white.Smiley cry

Anyways, thank you so much for your post! I, personally, love the site and will post an update here once I receive them later today!

I've been looking at Magnet Street and Zazzle - Magnet Street you can order free personalized samples too - I'm not sure how long they take though!

We used Minted and Shutterfly for all of our stationary. It look around 2-3 weeks to receive things from both companies. We were very pleased with both.

I used Minted and for the samples it did take about two weeks to come but for the actual invites it took about a week from when I ordered.

We used Zola for our magnet STDs, they were like 40% off. We got clear invites from Basic Invite. They're so pretty I loveee them. And they're light so we were able to mail them with only 1 stamp (I know that's usually a concern). Those were 20% off and they send you like 5 extra for free.

I shopped around and ended up going with Ann’s Bridal Bargains and loved how our invitations turned out. The price was the best I found and we received them in like a week around Christmas time. Very happy with ours.

I used Zola for my Save The Dates and they turned out beautiful! I've started looking to invitations and I think I'll probably go with a style I found on Minted for those. Zola had great deals for paper on their website, but they didn't have the formal style I was looking for for invites. I think it depends on your style and budget!

Samples can take a while! I think it took our like almost 2 weeks to get to us.

We ordered our save the dates from Minted, and it only took a week for them to be shipped and delivered! We ordered 110 save the dates!

Wow! I’m really surprised to hear that! Mine only took 5 to 7 business days like tops! I also absolutely love minted’s wedding website! Especially the RSVP section! I tested that out with all of my guests names and it Great! Even if they only put their first nickname or just their last name or just their first name etc. I didn’t have any sort of mailing issues with my save the date sample, my save the dates, my invitation sample, and my invitations. They all came in faster than I expected and I only used the normal shipping. I definitely think this has to be something to do with the mail carrier. Minted has a great customer service chat box on their website. I would definitely suggest you reach out to them to ask.

In addition to my above post, when I sent my save the dates out, one of our guests from Missouri received their save the date before some of my guests in Massachusetts… I live in Rhode Island! I don’t know how that’s possible but I really do think it’s just an issue with usps

Vistaprint for magnet save the dates.

Annsbridalbargains.com and Costco.com have full sets that most guests are used to.

Canva.com lets you design your own and they can print them or take the file to a local print shop.

Zazzle.com has many designs but all the pieces are sold individually including envelopes so that adds up.

Etsy.com sells a variety of styles including custom and full sets

I did not use any online shops, but instead went into Hobby Lobby and looked at some of their clearance ones which you just use a template from their website and printed them off at home. Mine came to a total around $15 for only 150 wedding invites and RSVP cards. We also then used a personalized address stamper to take some of the hassle away from rewriting it multiple times. If they dont have any clearance options you like, the invites typically range from $15-$30 or half off of that when you find them on sale. The invites also came with RSVP cards and envelops for both the invites and RSVP cards.

For my save the dates I just used walmart.com I didn't want to spend a lot on them and they still came out really cute. Paid $30 for 150 of them. For my wedding invitations I just ordered from truly engaging by magnetstreet.com. I loved that I was able to customize the colors to fit my theme. I ended up paying $136 for 180. The site will usually have a code for 75% off and free shipping.

We used Zazzle for ours. They actually do have options that have envelopes included, which is what we used. We had 2 sets of invitations - in person and virtual. We also customized business cards into an RSVP info insert for the in person invitations. Total cost for everything (50 in person invites w/envelopes, 25 virtual invites w/envelopes, 100 business cards) was around $110 and it took a little under 2 weeks for everything to get to us. We didn't do STDs, though.

Zazzle did my STD's Debating Zazzle or an Etsy artsit for the actual invites.

We ordered our Save the Dates and our Change the Dates from Minted and they arrived SUPER fast! They must partner with local printers because they were shipped from a couple towns over from me, took maybe 3-5 days total. I also ordered sample invitations and those took longer to arrive. I absolutely loved how our postcards came out and will definitely be using them for our invitations as well!
