Say yes to the dress Kleinfeld video

I am feeling a little nostalgic tonight on some old memories and I pulled out my private disk drive and was looking at old photos. Well a few years ago I was engaged to someone else and I traveled to New York City to Kleinfeld to find my dream dress. Which I did and I got to meet to my designer who I adore! Well a couple years later our engagement ended but I still ended up with this dress I purchased. Fast word to now I am getting married to someone new in a few months and I am in such a healthier and happier relationship because I cut a lot of toxic people out of my life. I did debate on selling my dress but it would be too difficult to recoup the money I spent on it so I plan on wearing it for my wedding (it really is stunning) well as I was looking through photos I came across my Kleinfeld pictures and videos. I have a video of when I said yes to my dress with my designer and I have never let anyone see it besides the people that went with me that day (toxic in laws kept everything private) well after I get married do I make this video public? Would that be weird for my Future Husband and his family and friends? Side note I look completely different now then when I was there and my entire bridal party is different now besides one girl. What would you do?

I personally wouldn't release the video publicly because in my opinion there's no need too. Especially if it's from a previous relationship/engagement. Is there a reason that you want to release the video? Also, is your fiancé okay with you wearing your old dress? Just curious

I don't think it's weird to wear the dress (as long as your fiance is ok with the situation) but I do think it would be weird to make the video public. People could start asking questions and making comments that could make your FH feel uncomfortable.
Is the point of releasing it to show that you went to Kleinfeld? Asking because it's not really common for brides to post release videos of saying yes to the dress since they don't want their FH to see their dress before the wedding and after the wedding you'll just want to post wedding pictures.

Put it away in a drawer of memories. Wearing the dress is fine. But that time period, preparing for the other wedding, does not need to be viewed by anypne but you.

Yes my fiancé is ok with me wearing the dress we had a long conversation about it and since I kept everything private about when I got my dress no one but my mom and the girls that went with me were able to see the dress. I have that video me because I wanted one day to post my own special say yes to the dress moment because going to Kleinfeld was a very big deal to me. Especially meeting my designer, thank you for the opinion.

I think if your fiancé is cool with it, go for it!! Kleinfeld is a big deal in the bridal community and a rare experience ❤️

I agree with this. Save the video for your memories, but I don’t think this needs to be put on social media. I feel like it probably wouldn’t be received by others in the way you’re hoping for it to be received.

If you really want to post the video is there a way to edit out the people who are no longer part of your special day? If you and your FH are fine with it and the video who cares what others think? He can shut those converst down real fast if anyone wants to try and start gossip/drama.

Also I'm dying to see the dress now!

Thank you!!!! Also photos do not do it justice, it’s super sparkly... Lazaros 3810 gown. I can’t wait to get it altered so it fits me a little better 😊 thanks for all the advice!

I remember that dress from Say Yes Episodes very beautiful! I get it you probably grew up watching the show and meeting the designer is a dream so I understand you wanting to post it. I absolutely say wear the dress. If the video can’t be edited to just show you and designer check if FH is cool with the unedited video but do be prepared for people to respond and ask questions like. “Where is ____’s mom.” “That doesn’t look like her” “When was this?” Because you all won’t be wearing masks so that may give it away to be pre-Covid time. If you are prepared and ok for possible negative and nosy comments I say go for it. There’s also always the option to turn the comments off but you may still get some private messages or comments. Good luck!
