Ok so I just got a call from a company called Chef Master USA. They said that we won 4 engagement gifts from signing up with different places. I have randomly signed up for stuff so who knows where they got my info. We get to pick either two wedding bands (super ugly) or a 2 night 3 day vacation,...

Ok so I just got a call from a company called Chef Master USA. They said that we won 4 engagement gifts from signing up with different places. I have randomly signed up for stuff so who knows where they got my info. We get to pick either two wedding bands (super ugly) or a 2 night 3 day vacation, and then 3 other random things. We have to go to a cooking presentation, but are told to bring no money. Normally when something is a scam you can find it easily online. The only thing I can find are videos on youtube of couples talking about the presentation afterwards.

What do ya'll think???!?!? So weird!

Me and my fiance received a call from Bella Bridal Network a few weeks ago. The lady on the phone said straight up that for the vacation, i would have to pay airfare and taxes. Which is a no brainer considering that anything you win you have to pay taxes for! We went to the presentation which lasted maybe sixty minutes, and the guy doing the presentation was awesome, he was hilarious and he cooked up an apple cobbler in the pan on the stove! We ended up buying a set because of the financing plan they had, and we just got our pans the other day. The very first day that we got the pans i cleaned them and used it to make a cake on the stove, it came out awesome lol. Now as for the free things that we won, we did walk out with the 3 day 2 night vacation package. our demonstrator told us that we would have to pay to get there, he said we could fly, take a cruise or swim if we wanted to lol. we also got a Carlson craft coupon, which you have to pay for shipping and handlin

My fiance and I just went to the show last night. It started at 830pm and we were there until 1015pm. It was supposed to be an hour lol. The cookware was cool but 4 pans are not worth $2000 I'm sorry I don't care if you throw in a $1000 knife set for free. The guy who did our presentation was nice and the show was interesting and entertaining but he did pressure us at the end to buy something but i stayed true to my normal frugal self and said No No No which i literally had to stay multiple times. He finally said Ok and thanks for coming and we got our vouchers for the vacation. You have to take the flyer and fill out your name address and phone number and send it in. I can't decided if I even wanna do it because it just seems so fishy hence why I'm researching it more now. Supposedly all you have to pay airfare and $50/person for taxes.

I went a few weeks ago. They are cheesy on the phone, the overall show is very pushy (At least in Rochester NY it was) You have to go in headstrong, apparently a lot of people fall for their cookware stuff. The thing that i didn't like was it was like a TV commercial - Only good today is this special offer....BUT WAIT....BUT WAIT WE ARE STILL NOT DONE.... type thing, if you are looking into really good cookware, buy all-clad, or copper, it would money better spent through a more well known company.

I would like to know if anyone has gone on the trip? I stayed through, and after practically arguing with the guy about leaving without buying anything (yes they are that pushy) i got my vouchers.

Its kind of like a time-share presentation but for cookware. My Mother-in-law to be and I went to the show. The pots and pans were way over priced so I knew that I wasn't going to be buying anything. We chose the free rings as our gift but they weren't exactly free. You need to pay $25 per ring as shipping & processing but I thought that $50 for two tungsten rings was OK by me. I got my fiance two wedding bands instead of getting one for me. He is military and goes out into the field a lot so I got him one ring for him to wear for special occasions and a second for him to wear in the field so he doesn't need to worry if it gets scratched or banged up. I felt that it was worth it just for the rings but its up to you if its worth your time.

Hi everyone. What I would really like to know about is how was the actual vacation. I see reviews on ppl that won the coupons and vouchers but what about the rings? did they look like what they did when you saw them at the presentation? was the vacation at a nice place? did the hotel vouchers work how you wanted them to like they say? or do you have to pick dates THEY have available?????

NOT A SCAM...... I went to this last night. The cookware is actually amazing, and the knives are even more beautiful.... This is actually the same cookware my mother has had for the past 30 years with lifetime warranty. You sit through this presentaition, we had a lot of fun and didnt even realize the hour had past. You DO NOT have to buy, several couples walked out with buying anything. The free gifts are never fully free, and with any give away, if you walk into anything thinking its completely free then its your fault. There's always taxes and airfare simply becasue its good for 2 years and the airfare prices changes so much. some of the other ones might be scams, but this one i believe is worth it, becasue you can sign up for it on your registry and have your guest buy you gifts cards and pay it off with those, instead of getting aweful gifts that you';; return anyway.

The vacation might eventually work out, after a lot of headaches, 3-4 shipping and handling fees, paperwork that contradicts each other and says if you fill it out wrong your voucher is void, more fees, and telephone waits of over 40 minutes to talk to a person on the phone who says "he'll look into it" and won't actually explain anything. The vacation vouchers are definitely not worth the stress and probably not worth the money in my opinion... you'd save enough on getting your airfare early (you can't pick where you go!!) than you will actually save at the resort.

I just got a call about this. The company was called Bridal Registries. Personally, my fiance and I can say no to anything however I am not sure if this is worth the hassle. I took the information only because I wanted to the woman to finish her monologue. If the trip is actually worth it please me know. I am not interested in the wedding bands or coupons for groceries. That's why we have the internet to print our own manufacturer coupons.

I went to this presentation. The man said he didn't want to do the pitch because he has already sold enough pans for the day. My fiance and I walked away with both the ring coupon and the vacation voucher. The vacation has a lot of strings attached but the wedding bands are great!! All you have to pay for is shipping and handling.

It was well worth going if you ask me.

If the call is from nutrichef it is NOT a scam. 1 hour presentation of cookware that is amazing and a free vacation but u do pay taxes and flight. Also we got a free knife, and some coupons. You do not have to buy anything but my fiancé and I did because the products are amazing. My step mom actually has a few pieces of the cookware and I didn't know that until after we bought them. It is a great deal.

I got the same call after a bridal expo. I also felt it was a scam. I did however attend with my fiance. It was a sales pitch for cookware, not cheap but very worth it. We bought a set, and did receive our free gifts. (Purchase was not necessary) I love and believe in the product so much that I am actually becoming a distributor. Also midi of my family has now purchased their own and absolutely LOVE IT.

I got the same call for a different company. Its not all the same companies. It's not a scam waterless cookware companies have been around for ages. Just like most direct sales companies I'm familiar with give you incentives to come to there parties and see there products. The show I went to was about 45 mins they cooked for us. At the end they gave discounts on the cookware. If you wanted to buy you could and if not you still got a gift for coming out there. The vacation voucher we chose when you book it you pay $100 refundable deposit which most hotels you have to do something similar. And the taxes which were $30. 2 nights for that is a good deal! You just have to go for yourself. If it doesn't feel right when you get there decline the gifts of not you got a good deal!
