Scam??

Hi all,

My fiancé and I received a phone call from a place called Nutri Health Tech about winning a vacation and some other gifts at the Bridal Show we went to in Portland OR recently. All we had to do was go to a cook show where they tried to sell us some pots and pans. We went and they weren't pushy at all and gave us our gift certificates to mail and receive our gifts at the end of the show. We got certificates for a tablet, a knife, and food processor where we need to mail with shipping and handing money. (one is $5 and the other is like $20 for shipping.) We also got a flyer that says we won an all inclusive 3 day with airfare vacation within the U.S OR a 6 night resort in some beaches in MX where we'd have to pay our airfare. He did also say we pay room and airfare taxes but would be about $190 total.

I'm not sure if this is legit or not. I'm going to keep researching but was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this place.

I guess not really asking if its necessarily a scam but is it legit or worth it?

Have you looked the company up online? A Lot of times these are timeshare places in which they want you to sit in on one of the seminars. I wouldn't book anything until I had all the details.

I went to one as well and got the vacation offer. It looked like it a legit company. Mine is through Marriot, i think. Do some research online and see what comes up.

I went for the same company and it was such a waste of time. The knife is really cool, though. The dates for the vacation are super restrictive(have to check in Sun-Thurs) and you have to pay a lot of taxes per person on it. We never used ours. And to get the “discount” of attending the session, you have to write down to “refer” like 5 people on the back of the paper they give you. The sets are pretty cool, but like $3k.

I agree. It's one of those things where if it seems to good to be true, it is. It ends up costing more than it's worth.
