Hello ladies!! I’m getting married on October 24th. this year and I am so so terrified of having to postpone or cancel. We are proceeding as planned right now. Can any other October brides share their thoughts?

    Hi Katharine!
My original date was May 9, and we rescheduled for October 4! We have high hopes for the fall! If you had been a summer bride then I might worry, but I think life should be back to normal by then!

Our date is October 10 and we are still planning as normal. I have a lot of anxiety about having to postpone or cancel things. But as of right now we are keeping our date and praying for the best.

I’m October 24th as well and I feel like by summer things should tame down but I read about the second round in the fall and started to freak out! I’m also going out of the country for my honeymoon. Ah!

The thing the keeps me hopeful is that Dr Fauci said that the second wave would not be like the way things are now.

I am getting married October 3rd! We are planning per usual with high hopes. We've discussed plans just in case. We plan to wait until late July/early August to see how things are going. We think things will return to somewhat normal by October, but we are worried about out of state and elderly family members! If, worst case scenario (which is unlikely), it does affect our wedding, we plan to elope and celebrate after this is all gone!

We had to postpone out May wedding to October 1st. During that decision, we gave our officiant/venue 2 options. Late September/Oct or wait it out until next May. Him and his team felt more confident to reschedule for this fall. Lets hope they are right! 🤞

We’re on 10/10/20. Hoping and praying for the best. But I can’t be worried, since it’s out of our control. So if postponing is necessary, then that’s what we’ll have to do. In that case, FH and I still plan to get married on our date and will do the reception celebration with guests on a different day (at our same venue).

Hey! My wedding is October 23. I am saying that by June if things are almost over or promising to end, I will postpone. I still have a lot of planning which I was suppose to do during this time. I might just postpone to June 2021. I don’t want family or friends traveling and feeling uncomfortable or not coming

Think of it this way: our economy would not survive more than a month or two of lock down. We're already facing some dire consequences: my fiance's company had massive layoffs and furloughs. But we have to believe that what we're doing now will help slow things quickly. That's why we're being as strict as we are. I think by July you should see some return to normalcy! Just take it day by day and try not to obsess over the news. Keep up to date but don't focus on it.

I’m also getting married on October 24th and I’m starting to get very stressed!!! I’m worried that my venue (which only does 1 wedding at a time) will have us reschedule rather than refund us and the date will have to be pushed out another year or more or switch us from a Saturday to a different day (if we do end up not being able to have the wedding). By Oct I will have already waited a year and a half of being engaged and I don’t want to wait any longer. Honeslty, the worst part is not knowing and knowing that I won’t know for at least another 5 mos for sure ☹️☹️☹️ I’m not sure if we should keep making payments and plan on sending invites or just wait it out and send invites at the last possible moment! We already sent save the dates

10/24/20 here also, I'm getting a little nervous but still hopeful... I have like 90% of things planned already, I don't think we can even get married at a courthouse if things don't open back up again? I wouldn't mind a smaller wedding of 50-100...but 10 (limit by CDC) people is not even half my family. I hope my venue and vendors would work with me on another date, I don't think I can wait next fall again. If I have to get married in spring with fall colors so be it.

Same date here. Waiting until August to see what happens but I’ve mentally prepared myself so I’m not so sad.
