FH and I saw a movie about 3 months ago before I had my ring resized to fit me appropriately. After the movie ended I went to the restroom and washed my hands, then dried off my hands with paper towel. I walked out of the bathroom and realized I didn't have my ring on anymore! Wth! I knew I didn't flush it! I remember having it on while I washed my hands!! My heart was pounding!!!

This super nice lady working at the theatre picked through that trash for me and found my gem at the bottom of the bag. I nearly had a heart attack!!! LOL needless to say I'm way more careful now and my ring fits me.

When have you lost or misplaced your bling? I want to hear your stories!

My friend lost his wedding ring while camping in Tanzania. He was super upset cos he had melted his parents rings (both have passed) to make it. We thought it was gone forever. I mean, lost in the wilderness? What are the chances.

Well ... someone did find it and turned it in and he got it back!

    ETA: spelling

Never actually lost it, but I've had nightmares about it! Lol. I just know I run the risk because when I wash my hands, I take my rings off - I hate the feeling of wetness that sticks around under my rings if I keep them on, and also I have a morganite and I've heard that it's not good to put chemicals on it. I just know I'll have a scare one day leaving it in a public bathroom Smiley sad

I have an opal ring that I used to wear all the time from FH before I started working at a daycare and started washing my hands all the time. I was traveling back home from seeing FH and I stopped to go to the bathroom in the airport. I had taken off my ring to wash my hands and left it in the bathroom (just like you, @goingbaldwin!) and I realized it once I got to my gate and we were 15 minutes from boarding. I panicked and had to run around to figure out which bathroom I had used earlier (I was at Chicago o'hare... so many bathrooms). I was SO lucky and when I walked in, there it was sitting on the ledge where I put it. It was one of my favorite gifts that I had ever gotten from FH so I was almost in tears running from bathroom to bathroom searching for it

I thought I lost my ring at FH parents house. I took it off for some reason, I thought I remembered where I put it but it wasn't there. I was freaking out looking everywhere as FH was just standing there. Well come to find out he took it because he thought it was funny -_____-savage.

YES! I lost mine once, and it was awful!! Every year my parents have a great casual "open house" type party for people in their neighborhood. (They live on a farm, so the neighbors are all super close since they have known each other literally all their lives.) FH and I went back home to hep out with it, and the main thing we were doing was taking things back and forth between the house and the outbuilding where the party was being held. It was a hot, sweaty summer day and my fingers were sort of swollen from the heat, so I moved my ring from its normal finger to my pinkie. Well apparently my pinkie wasn't quite big enough to keep it in place because after a while I noticed it was gone. I had been all over the area surrounding the house and the outbuildings, so retracing my steps basically meant looking for a needle in a haystack made of of lawn and gravel and wild grasses. Then the guests showed up, so I had to make nice and chat while I was completely freaking out inside. My ring is a one of a kind antique. Even if we had the money to replace it we literally couldn't. I asked my sister to help look and we offered her a $100 bounty if she found it. She somehow found it almost immediately, and then she felt bad and worried we would think she knew all along. Of course no one thought that. I was just SO GLAD to have my beloved ring back.

I haven't lost my ring, thank God, but it's one of my biggest fears since my ring has a family diamond in it. We got it sized so I'm just starting to not freak out about losing it as much. When I first had it, I would take it off to do things and leave it on my desk, or put it on the wrong hand, because I used to wear a ring on my right hand before we got engaged. I'm finally getting used to it, and am not terrified every time I flush the toilet!!!
