Seating chart for 20+ tables, pictures anyone?

Junelle Johannah, on July 11, 2018 at 2:06 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

We're expecting anywhere between 225-250 guests (possibly more!) and need some DIY inspiration. Please POST your pictures of seating charts with 20+ tables. We'll be using round tables that seat 10 each. Thank you so much!

Have you checked out Etsy seating chart templates? I absolutely love them and they are so easy to purchase, download, and edit. They have various sizes, and definitely large enough ones for 20+ tables.

You can always do escort cards. That would probably be easiest to accommodate such a large guests list. You can cut down on the number of cards by doing one for couple or family ( ie John and Julie Smith, or The Brown Family) Etc.

I’m doing escort cards! I have about 220 guests and I’m going to do a giant board with the escort cards hanging for each couple. This helps to cut down on the number of cards if you group by couple!

Are you having a buffet or plated dinner? I honestly think escort cards are easier for larger weddings.

I agree that escort cards are the way to go with this many people.

We're doing a buffet. We're doing succulents as favors that will also serve as name cards. Those will be already set at the tables. So trying to figure out what will be the best signage. But ack! I know the number of people makes it kinda tough.

Instead of having the succulents pre placed as name cards just skip the middle man of a seating sign chart. Have the venue set up an additional table near the guest book, and place all succulents with name cards in alphabetical order. That way people can wander up to the table, grab their favor/card, find their table number at the same time and will still place it in front of them when they sit down.

We did a full day of succulent planting yesterday at my parents house! We've decided to use an online template to just list everyone's seating assignment by last name. We have ended up with a confirmed guest list of 286!! To help ease the crowd around the poster-sized seating chart, we're hoping to inform as many of our close relatives of their table number beforehand. I'll post pictures later. Everything is being stored at my parent's house.
