Seating chart help!

So our wedding is small, 35 people, with the dinner in the hotel’s semi private dining room. There’s 5 tables with seating for 6-8 depending on RSVP’s. I’m having marble coasters with their name at each place setting, but how do I go about a seating chart? I was envisioning a sign outside the room but all the ones I’m seeing are for a big guest count.

Do I forego one? Do I make it anyways but just try and take up space on the sign? Would it look weird to have a sign for just 5 tables? Open for suggestions!

*Pic of the entry for the room for visual purposes (will be decorated).

I don't see why you couldn't still do a seating chart sign right outside, just use a smaller frame since you don't need to list as many tables and names. It will definitely help direct people more efficiently to the right table since you are assigning seats and prevent wandering around looking for their name.

I think you can still make it for a smaller group.

I usually prefer seating charts but you don’t have the room. I would suggest printing names and placing them on the plates and that is all. There are a few enough people where that wouldn’t be an issue. Still do a chart and arrangement but eliminate the idea of a chart. That would take up too much room for your space. You could print them at home with a nice font and then hot glue a fake flower on them like babies breath from the dollar store and make them for a total of $10

You can double purpose the coasters as escort cards- just add a tag or card that can easily be removed with the table number.

I think you could do a small chart easily. We are having a very similar size event in a restaurant private dining room. Hopefully we will have one large table, but probably two long tables. We were thinking that we didn’t need to bother with a seating chart/assigning seats... just curious, why are you assigning seats?

I agree with courtney - you don't need a big sign, i would just have a table number attached to the marble coasters as they walk in, or just at their seats. It will only take a couple minutes to fin their seats Smiley smile
