Seating Chart Tool Not Working

HJKvr, on April 25, 2018 at 9:55 AM Posted in Account Support 0 9

I wanted to play around with the seating chart on WW, but it keeps telling me I need Adobe Flash to run it. The thing is, I've downloaded/updated Flash. I've restarted my browser. Restarted my computer. Downloaded Flash AGAIN. It's current. I don't understand what is happening and why it's not working. But even when I click the button for "get Adobe Flash", nothing happens. Is it broken?

It's very buggy. I gave up and started using All Seated which is awesome! You can even add centerpieces to the tables.

I never had issues with it, and I've been suing for at least 4 months now.

Have you tried a different browser?

I'm really sorry to hear that, DS5! It sounds like you've tried a few of the things I would have suggested, so I recommend you reach out to our Support Team who can do some more troubleshooting for you - support@weddingwire.com

Hmm... I'm using Chrome. I can try another browser and see what happens. I have accessed it before, and now that I think of it, I was using Firefox at that time. But my IT guy wanted me to switch to Chrome because it's faster and less buggy. (Because of COURSE I do most of my planning at work....Smiley atonished )

I'll try Firefox and see what happens.

OK. I got it to work. Firefox wouldn't load (which I remembered is why I went to Chrome aside from the reasons listed above). Microsoft Edge was still doing the same thing - asking me to update Flash, but the Flash button not going anywhere.

So I went back to Chrome and into my settings, then content settings. Flash was defaulted to ask first before loading - but that wasn't happening here (I was getting no popup for approval). So I just added this website to the "allowed" sites. And now that I'm typing this out I think it might also have to do with the popups being blocked - so I couldn't see the approval thing.

Aaaaaahhh... Hope this helps someone else in the future.

    **PS thank you!!

If you go under "planning tools" at the top, it's in that drop down.

Usually chrome or internet explorer - believe it or not some websites are designed in such a way they work best on one or the other. Also - some websites have tools that work better on one and some tools better on other - I know is annoying but it’s a fact. Glad is now working!
