Seating chart

Aury, on August 19, 2017 at 12:21 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

I'm already over budget and don't want to spend 70 dollars just on a seating chart. Is there any free template that I can download to print it at staples??

For me, this was the hardest part of the planning process. I used the chart on WW. I used it and it worked perfectly.

I used a poster and stickies to make my mine. I need to physical touch it so I felt like i didn't miss someone. As I received accepted rsvp I made a sticky for them. Then once my deadline was up I started making my tables.

You don't actually need a seating chart. Just assign tables and you're done. List the table number/table name on the escort card. No need to spend extra money or time.

Escort cards, from a party store. About $5 for 50. They come on sheets and you print them on your computer. There's a link to the template on the packaging.

Get a piece of paper per table and those tiny sticky notes one per person and go for it

Currently using a white board and colored flags. We had a rough layout written and as RSVPs arrive I stick a post it in place of the name. This way I can also move people around as needed. Declines are listed on the dance floor space.

We are using the Wedding Wire seating chart and will have escort cards the day of the wedding.

I used a word document. I just typed in the table numbers and listed the names of each guest under his/her assigned table number. I did not assign seats. To display the seating chart at my wedding, I printed it on some vellum a friend of mine gave me (regular printer paper would have been fine too) and taped the vellum to an old window pane (that I picked up at a second hand store), with each table having its own window pane. Cost way less than $70. Plus, I am hoping to sell the window to another couple for their wedding since this decor is "in" right now.

Escort cards are cheap like someone else said. You can even handwrite them if you have good handwriting

My coordinator has a site with a seating chart feature. I plan to just assign tables. Even that was slightly stressful on the playing around run.

Reading ideas here on how to display them. Smiley smile
