I likeee! I am creating my own place cards, it’s just easier to me. I love the seating charts though, but with changes and my OCD the cards make more sense. I ordered the Avery Place cards and downloaded the template.

We're probably going to go with escort cards. The acrylic boards look great, but I just know someone will cancel last minute, the board will be off, and it'll drive me nuts lol.

If you are going with a board or chart, it's best to list names alphabetically so guests can find their names easier. That might prevent a bit of the traffic jam around the chart.

I did mine at least 6 times. Its hard to separate divorced parents… keep out of towers close and make friends not seem like they’re in Timbuktu 🤣

Our venue is requiring escort cards, so that's what we're doing.

Individual escort cards is the simplest/easiest/cheapest method. The problem with posters or mirrors is that they are difficult to read due to being small print and illegible fonts that create traffic jams and guests forget their spots on the way to the tables. In addition, what is never mentioned is that you have start over from scratch if there is a typo or someone has to be moved to another table/added/removed from the guest list. Each reprint costs a lot of money and you also have to consider your time as money. It’s cheaper and easier to get blank escort cards (they can be purchased on Etsy in solid color card stock that you write the information yourself or have a local print shop do for you and each color is for a different entree choice) and have extras on hand as you need.

I bought a package of templates off Amazon that looked REALLY nice and then printed at home. They looked incredible! I didn't want table signs in the middle because it ruined the look of my flowers so I just had people find their spots, but my cards said their names and tables. This was VERY cost effective and looked GREAT. I only had 30 people so easy to find seat.
