Second round of invitations

Amy, on May 8, 2020 at 7:47 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
Hello all. We had already sent our invitations out and then came the DOD travel ban. So we are trying to prep the second round of invitations. We had to elope and are not keeping it a secret bc of military life.

How are others doing this if they are doing this? There is a huge part of me that wants to say rsvp by text or fb message bc I spent the money the first time. I have a lot of older generation so not sure how well that is going to go over. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would have people RSVP via your wedding website. So much easier to keep track of than text messages and emails, the website literally does it for you.

We are sending out a re-save the date postcard with a direct like to re-RSVP. I got all the postcards for fairly cheap at Truly Engaging as well.

Hi - where and when is your wedding? How many invited guests? I'm in Houston, set for 7/25. We were originally 5/24 and moved it due to CV19. We'd just gotten in our invitations and had planned to write & send them that weekend of 4/14 and everything started shutting down. We seem to be a go but are holding on for a couple of more weeks to be sure and will then order new ones from scratch with the new date. While I could do email, I really want the formal invite. If your wedding budget is getting out of control and you want to save the $, I think you should be okay with email. Best of luck!

We’re not doing a new STD but will do invites printing at very last minute. (Costco is cheap). In the invite, please check out website for any last minute changes due to Clovid 19.

Im putting rsvp with my phone number. & adding wedding website info. Last time only a small handful actually used the wedding website and lots of our ppl had issues getting their name to pop up. This time its not going to be a formal invitation, all e-invites. I refuse to spend more money on invitations + postage + rsvp cards

Glad I'm not the only one not wanting to spend more money on that stuff. I have thought about just printing them on regular paper and calling it a day.

There are a select few that im printing invites for mostly for the OGs that aren’t internet savvy or those I dont have phone contact or fb contact. For the print invites im going to buy invites from Michaels. They have cardstock in like pack of 50 for $10 or so. Im going to buy something like that for printing.
