Y’all, I have been going back and forth between about three different dresses. I finally decided on one this past Saturday. Called my dad to see if he could help pay for it, he ended up paying for the entire thing... and I’m looking back at pictures of it and now... I don’t feel like it’s very bridal! It’s a beautiful dress and was way too big when I tried it on and I just don’t know! Our ceremony is in a forest so I didn’t want anything too formal, and now I’m just not even sure! I hate not being sure about things. Has anyone else gone through this?

Dress regret is soooo common. Sometimes it's all in our heads, other times it's better to trust your gut. I ended up returning the first dress I purchased after months of dress regret that start immediately after ordering it! What is it specifically about your dress that makes you unsure? Figuring that out will help you decide if this is just nerves over such a big decision, or if you truly don't love your dress. Best of luck to you! Smiley heart

Thank you!! And I’m not exactly sure what it is I don’t like about it. I loved it in the store. But when I look back on it there’s just something I’m not sure of and I can’t pinpoint it. I’ll post a picture of it.

I think it's beautiful, I love all of the sparkle up top! I could definitely see it tying in well with a forest ceremony. I could be totally wrong, but I wonder if maybe you're having doubts because you have a certain idea of "bridal" in your head and this might not fall into that category for you or it's not what you originally pictured yourself getting. It definitely says bridal to me, but I can completely understand if it's not right with your vision. If you REALLY loved it in the store and can't really pinpoint what it is you don't like, I would just make sure you aren't worried about what everyone else thinks "bridal" looks like. It's so easy to look at other dresses and wonder if ours are good enough. I knew my first dress was bridal, but it wasn't the type of bridal I wanted (it was more traditional in my opinion and kinda made me feel old lol). At the end of the day, you should wear a dress that YOU love!

Trust your instincts! If you loved it in the store, there was a reason you picked it ☺️ A few of the stores I looked at didn't even allow pictures of the dresses or highly discouraged taking them for this reason. The pictures from the (probably poorly lit) bridal shop don't do it justice. Can you find a stock photo of your dress online? This might help to give you that "real feel" of what it will look like once it fits correctly and isn't huge like it was when you tried it on.

Dress regret is so common, but I LOVE your dress - it is beautiful.

I do agree with trusting your gut - but you decided on that dress out of the three for a reason - just think more about it before making a change Smiley smile

After my first dress appt. there was a dress I really wanted but I slept on it and was really glad I didn't get it. I bought a dress at my next appt. that just felt like "the one" and was so simple and not what I was expecting. I would recommend just sleeping on it or looking at the stock photos to see more pictures of it Smiley smile Good luck!

I think the big thing, is that I feel like it’s too white? Lol does that make sense?

That’s a great idea. This was my fourth appointment. And a dress like this is what I had envisioned, it’s probably the crappy lighting! Lol thank you 🙏🏼

Lol it definitely makes sense, I feel the same way. I honestly can't think of more than two occasions that I've worn white, so seeing it on me is kind of strange Smiley xd In the picture, your dress definitely looks closer to white than ivory/blush/etc. , but it doesn't come across as blinding to me. I would say it's a diamond white rather than a pure white!

I feel like we all go through this at some point!! There's sooo many dresses out there and it's so hard to pick just one. I think there's a tendency to wonder if you got the right One. I can assure you this dress looks great on you though! And for real it's perfect for a wedding in the forest! The design on the top almost look like leaves and branches and that's just perfect. If you loved it in the store, stop second guessing yourself! And remember, when it's altered and you have the right accessories, it will look much different. I love it personally!

I thought it was a perfect dress for the forest too! Maybe it’s really just me. My first dress when we eloped was totally different and long sleeves and super white, and I loved that look, but Texas is HOT in October and I am not doing that to myself outside lol

I tried this dress on and loved it but felt it wasn't formal enough for my wedding venue. I think it's perfect for a forest. I tried it in a moscato type colour. If you are worried about it being too "white" as you said, you could probably still switch the order colour.

Do you remember the name of this gown? I just tried to call the bridal shop and she wouldn’t answer me 😂 I don’t think she understood me.

Yes! Its the Charlene by Maggie Sottero.

I think the one I tried is the ivory over blush. Looks like they have a champagne option too. If you search the forums on here for "charlene" you will see some pics of other ladies trying it on- you may be able to see the colour options that way too. Or creep instagram.

The video on the Maggie Sottero site shows the blush one. I just think that color would be so dreamy in a forest setting.
