Self tanner

Molly, on August 2, 2020 at 5:35 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 13
Have any of you used self/sun less tanner to help hide tan lines that will show when you wear your wedding dress? I have a dress with a low back and I have a bad tank top tan and I will have my hair up.

Do you have any recommendations?

My cousin highly recommend tan-luxe to me, but for the price I got some Jergens natural glow that has worked awesome for me. It smells a little, but not so much it bothers me.

I like St. Tropez express tan, it’s on the more expensive side but I find it to really make a difference and provides a really natural glow. That said, be careful when it comes to your back to avoid streaky-ness I would definitely ask a friend to help you and do a trial beforehand. Use a mit that they provide and follow directions but definitely have someone help for your back!

You still have few weeks, so I'd just strategically apply sunscreen and try to get a tan on your whiter parts. That way you know it'll be close to your personal tanned color.

Yes! I love St. Tropez products! I have the bronzing lotion that I use a mit with and it is the best. No streaks, no orange. It has a little green tint to counteract the orange that fake tanner can give. It doesnt fade blotchy either. I highly recommend. I will be using this for my wedding day also

I wish I can tan like normal but I just burn and then peel for weeks. I don’t want to risk being peely on the day lol.

Tahitian Mist by South Seas works well and dries fast so it doesn't rub onto anything.

Yeah, that sounds like a problem. Are you having your makeup done for the wedding? If so, your makeup artist can probably cover your lines safely.

I'm the exact same way. Hence the senless tanner option over anything else.

I am going to be doing my own hair and makeup but I could have my bridesmaids help me. That's a good idea thank you!
