Self United Marriage License: Pa- No Problem!

Heather , on September 20, 2018 at 6:28 PM Posted in Pennsylvania Planning 0 3
To all the brides out there in PA I’m sending this as a PSA. If you are having a ceremony there is such thing as a self uniting marriage license. All the same, except two witnesses sign instead of an officiant. Ours was ordained online and was worried it would not hold up if anything happened. It was the same price, looks the same, and was super easy. All we said was we were doing self uniting at the beginning of the process. Just wanted to share my experience :-) 9 days!

Yes! I’m a PA bride too and I got our self-uniting marriage license last week 😊 Honestly the simplest solution to the issue, as we are having a non-religious ceremony officiated by FH cousin.
    Yay 9 days!!! You’re so close! 👰🏻

How long after the wedding do you have to turn the signed liscense back in? With a normal wedding the officiant takes care of that aspect. I'm just wondering if we need to plan on having someone file this for us while we're on our 10 day honeymoon.
