Selfie station is usually done with guests phones. The photo booth is handled by the company you rent it from. Some print photos for guest and others save them and give it to the couple. I personally prefer photo booth.

One of my friends had a Photo Booth at her wedding and everyone in the booth received a copy and a copy was put into a book for the bride and groom and you could sign it or right a small note. I thought it was a neat idea!

I am not a fan of photo booths instead they do this flip book station where they dance and twirl for about 15 seconds and it makes a flip book it's so cool!

If you have a photobooth then you will likely get all those photos from the company. If you have a selfie stick station then you may never see those pics.

15 seconds of dancing and twirling? Interesting.

I'm always team photobooth because then your guests get a copy and so do you!

Thanks for the feedback! The flipbook thing sounds fun, but they are not located anywhere near us Smiley smile

A selfie station is where people take their pen photos, while a photo booth is typically operated by a worker (and 5x the price!)

We did a Polaroid guestbook. We assigned one friend to make sure they got a photo of all guest and they signed (we only had 40 guest and more than half were couples) then the camera and extra film were used by guest during the reception. Some people kept the photos but we had a huge stack to look through after the fact.

Hmmmm I'm not sure as thinking about entering this market have been doing my research. No where did I read ppl use their phones for the selfie station. The selfie station is just like a photo booth without the booth. U can use props and backgrounds, no packing ppl in to be small booth. You print a pic instantly from the event, like a favor or souvenir. I can email the pics or upload to social !media and the host gets a memory stick for all guests captured pics. Price is a lil strange at first I was finding $10-12K selfie station and around $6000 for photo booth. There are so many options now! Inflatable photo booths, photo booths, complete selfie station packages or u can build your own packages from photo printer, camera , laptop/tablet, monitors to upload pics right there or email for later but both basically give u a take away pic
