Semi Private vs Private Wedding Reception?

Taylor, on September 14, 2021 at 4:46 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5

I am having a bit of a dilemma choosing the venue for our wedding reception. We have a small guest count (about 30), and it is a destination wedding in Vegas.

Option 1 is a semi private dining experience at Trevi on the Mezzanine level

Option 2 is a private room at Carmine's (Piccolo)

Overall, I like the vibe of the Trevi location more. Carmine's looks a bit dated. The prices are relatively the same, but at Trevi, the coordinator stated that we would possibly be seated with 2 other groups (or be up there alone if they don't book with anyone else- it will be on a Saturday at 1:00 P.M.).

I keep going back and forth between the two, semi-private vs. private, any suggestions on choosing one over the other would be awesome. Thanks!

If you like the vibe of the first venue better, I say go for it! It would be just like eating at a restaurant where you don’t know the other patrons. Plus, more people usually means more energy! And let’s not forget… it’s Vegas! Vegas is all about having fun and mingling with strangers!

Option 1 is gorgeous. With such a small guest count, you'll be totally fine in a semi private space

Trevi has the ambience I’d go for.

Yep I agree with everyone else. There's nothing to say you can't have a reception in semi-private location!

I see what you're saying about the decor but I personally would want a private space.

For example, I'd feel awkward giving a speech knowing other tables would be able to listen in, and I wouldn't enjoy it much if I was one of those people on the other tables either.

Surely in Vegas there has to be somewhere else you could choose with more modern decor that's got a private space you could use?
