We’re putting our deposit down at Doubletree suites in June, and I was thinking of sending save-the-dates sometime soon after we lock in the date. I’ve heard 8-12 months out is standard, but since my guests are mostly traveling I wanted to send them sooner. That way everyone will have plenty of time to make travel accommodations.

I might be wrong but I think the way the woman at the hotel we’re having ours at said that basically you want to look at your guest list and try to figure out a safe # of rooms you’d need for them berceuse you’ll be responsible for them if they aren’t booked up. My friend blocked rooms for hers and I ended up finding a cheaper room in the same hotel without using the block they gave. 😞
