Sending two different types of invitations

Andrea, on October 9, 2020 at 2:31 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
I ordered wedding invitation and RSVPs from A larval print shop because they were so much cheaper (talking $40 for 175) When I received them I was not 100% happy but I know that the majority of our guests are just going to throw them out after our wedding.

I didn’t want to spend $600+ for invitations But I would like to send nicer invitations to family and wedding party as well as a keepsake for us to frame. Is this frowned upon or discouraged?

If one guest that got the cheaper invite seems someone's who got a more expensive one then they might wonder why they got different invites. I know my brother-in-law and his wife sent out different style save the dates so when we saw my mother-in-law's hanging on her fridge I was surprised her's looked different from ours which is when she said they did different layouts. She knew this because her sister also received one that was a different layout from her's so she asked her son why her's looked different and he told her.

That part I understand. But my fiancé has several friends who I know could care less. I’ll most likely end up ordering just one for us to frame.

I agree with Veronica 100%. It would seem like you didn't care about the ones that got the cheaper looking ones. I'm not exactly sure where you were looking to have to pay $600+ on invites but there are some sites that have really good deals. I'd honestly just keep looking and send the same ones to everyone. I mean, luckily, you only paid $40 so it's not exactly a waste. I'd recommend Zazzle.

Nice invitations don't have to cost a fortune. I spent $130 for 100 invitations (including rsvp card and envelopes and our address pre-printed) from Ann's Bridal Bargains, and they were gorgeous and good quality.

Yep, it's an online company. I think they're based out of the midwest somewhere. The website is https://www.annsbridalbargains.com/
