Sending wedding invites

Arianna, on January 30, 2021 at 10:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
Hey girls!! I’m getting married September 11th 2021. Im not sending out change the dates (we were supposed
to get married May 15th 2021) so I was going to send invites early June, we have to give out catering the guest count early august but is that to early? Should I wait until July. I know your supposed to send them out 6-8 weeks before but then my bridal shower invites would he put before my wedding invites and I don’t think I like that idea. I hope this all makes sense. Thanks in advanced!

Do your guests know you changed the date? That would be my worry with this plan.
If your guests know about the change I’d send them out on a normal time line.

Some know some don’t. I texted everyone on my side and that it’s postponed but fiancé hasn’t

It is pretty standard for shower invitations to be sent out before wedding invitations since the shower takes place first. I agree with the pp that guests all need notified that the original date has changed!

Ooh okay I didn’t know that. All of the wedding invites I ever received came before the shower invitations

You can do Change the Dates, shower invitations, and then wedding invitations. Simple Change the Dates would help let everyone know the original date is no more and also let them know to save the new date so they won’t be surprised when shower invitations come!

Mail so they arrive at 6-8 weeks, meaning mailing in 9 th or 10th ( overseas) week out. Tell them Early August is too early. lots of people hear from employers if the got time off 30 days in advance. No sooner than August 18 to caterer, and you want a week to chase missing ones, so put RSVP date of August 10 on your invitations. Very often shower invites go out 4-6 weeks before a shower that is 2-3 months before a wedding, so people are used to getting shower invitations before the wedding invitation.
