I am a September 2021 bride and I am excited to get to marry my best friend in a little over a month from now. With that being said, I am curious if other September 2021 or fall brides are pushing forward and excited for their weddings? With news of the delta variant, are any brides nervous that...

With news of the delta variant, are any brides nervous that their big day may have to change or postponed?

Glad to hear that I’m not the only one so OVER all of the planning and uncertainty. I am ready to just be at the alter and do the dang thing! Pushing through and taking it day by day. We’ve had a heck of 90 days to go through personally, so we’re ready for our next chapter. 9/10/21 Smiley heart

We're pushing forward and the excitement is starting to kick in. We understand that we may receive more declines due to the variant but we're confident that it'll still be a great turnout and overall day. 61 days to go! Smiley heart

I’m not feeling nervous because our wedding is outside. If anyone feels uncomfortable there is plenty of space to socially distance!

And also, we are having an destination wedding in Jamaica. The travel concerns are high but I know everything happens for a reason and our wedding is super intimate and small. But I really want to go to Jamaica and have our wedding there

9/28... Arkansas. 4 people and zoom. We're ready to be done. I was 4x covid bride throughout 2020 - until we finally eloped with our sons only, outside, last September. It's time for us to be done. So, gulp, 9/28 is the final date for us. I'm ready to sink into being married to him and to stop making plans.

I'm getting married this Saturday and feel miserable about it. It's our second reschedule. We were foolishly optimistic and invited our original guest count from our pre pandemic wedding that go postponed (120 ppl). Things were looking great and then delta happened and rapid uptick in case rates. I was so careful this whole pandemic and followed the rules.. now I feel like I'm blowing off my values and contributing to spread. The wedding is in an outdoor covered pavilion. Instead of being carefree Ill be watching everyone dance and cringing. I asked unvaccinated guests to test before hand and most are refusing to. Two of them are my fiancees mother and sister-- can't exactly disinvite them. I'm scared for his mom-- she's vulnerable health wise but won't listen. I just want it to be over

I’m am SOOOO stressed. I am excited but my family and her family are all just rambling on about everything and it’s just so stressful with how many people are going and how many people keep telling me to do certain things. We had to postpone the wedding and change the date 3 times and it’s almost like I’m over the idea of a wedding. I can’t wait till it’s over as sad as it sounds but I’m so excited for me to finally be able to fit in my dress 🥺 September 18th can’t come fast enough!

September 9 wedding over here and feeling nervous with the surge in Delta… trying to stay hopeful as we are enforcing precautions. Our ceremony is indoors and our church enforces temperature checks, masks, face shields, and social distancing. Our reception is outdoors and we will have sanitizer stations throughout the venue, wipes to wipe down photobooth props/guest book pens/etc., and servers will be wearing masks. Our guest count is around 90 and everyone will be spaced out. We are expecting everyone to be vaccinated but aren’t requiring proof.

We are going ahead with our Sept 18 wedding (postponed a year from 9/2020 originally). I’m excited as most of the planning is done but just frustrated that we missed the very short window in June/July where things were almost back to normal. We are asking guests to be vaccinated or have a negative COVID test and recommending indoor masking as well. Have had a number of declines in the last week due to COVID concerns and it’s hard not to take personally. But we will still have ~100 guests (invited 140) and are excited to celebrate with them!

I (the Groom that is) just made the Masks another cool accessory. Honestly dudes don't get many accessories, the masks are nice because they can accent the theme and/or colors of the event. Smiley smile

Contacted our venue this morning to discuss the penalties for canceling. At this point, I’m all for losing that money rather than spending more. Our wedding isn’t until October 30th. So that’s 2+ more months of this covid drama. And after a 3-year engagement due to a 1-year postponement, I’m SOOOOO over it! 🤬

10/23...starting to get stressed. We will only have a few unvax guests but unfortunately those guests both refuse to get vaxxed or wear masks, and won't get a covid test. One guy got belligerent that we even (very politely!) suggested to try to get vaccinated if they could and we had to uninvite him/his family (we have dear friends and family members who are immuno compromised). Venue we picked with covid in mind tho, has outdoor pavilions we could 100% switch to (right now we have a small pavilion plus huge indoor dining hall, with tons of windows to open for cross breeze)

So much could change in 2 months tho...IDK. Trying to roll with it. Fiance and I keep checking in with each other about how we are feeling.

We are 9/25, about 70 guests at this point, and majority of the wedding is outside in SoCal. When we move inside to the ballroom for the band/dancing, it is a 300+ person room that opens to the outside. A large portion of our guests are traveling, and we just decided this week to only have vaccinated guests at the wedding. I definitely feel the other comments here about being planning fatigued, especially for the original 2020 brides. Home stretch, ladies!
