September 21st Ceremony Time.

Brianna, on March 14, 2019 at 3:17 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9

Hello I'm trying to do my invites and am having a hard time picking a time. The event will be outside we have the venue Friday-Sunday. I was thinking 3:00 but I'm not sure if it will be too hot. What are your thoughts?

What state are you getting married in? You can also look back at last years average temp for that month. Our wedding is September 28th and we are having it at 5pm to avoid the heat.

I am also getting married on the 21st!! My ceremony will be at 4:00 PM. Our reception will end at 10 and if we did later, we felt like it would be too quick.

California. I looked at the average temp I believe it was 90 so pretty hot. I just want everyone to stay and for things to flow. I'm doing cocktail hour after while we take pictures and then I want the reception to follow so I'm just trying to get everyone fed and happy so looking for other peoples ideas. I was supposed to get married the 28th but they double booked us.

I am leaning towards 4 as well. Are you taking pictures before or after the ceremony?

I'm also in California! Where are you located? Also my name is spelled the same as yours.. lol.

We're planning on trying to take as many pictures as possible before and we are doing a first look. We will possibly take some into cocktail hour as well. Cocktail hours are my favorite part at the weddings I've been to though, so I'm trying to make some of our own.

I'm located in Northern California Sonoma area. Thats funny so many similarities lol. My fiance doesn't want to do a first look. He wants the first time he sees me to be walking down the aisle but I like the idea of getting the stress of pictures out of the way first. We have a videographer who is also our photographer so he will get videos of us and the wedding parties getting ready. I figured cocktail hour would be perfect when we take pictures then people can find seats for reception, sign guest book and eat cookies from the sweet bar.

Hahahaha. I went to sonoma state for undergrad! I'm from and live again in the LA area though. I think its fine to take the pictures during cocktail hour. You can also try to get all the separate pictures done before like just you and your bms and then photos of him and his gms. That way cocktail hour photos are just you guys and then large group photos.

Ours is in mid October in Michigan and having a 5pm ceremony. Our photographer wanted to get plenty of golden hour photos. Plus we are having a first look also.

May still be too hot then. Even just waiting until 4 will be better!
