Just Said Yes September 2024

September brides (‘23 and ‘24), where are you thinking of honeymooning considering the change of seasons?

Getting married September 2024 and starting to think of destinations. Since it starts to get cold in September, I’m interested in what places other couples are looking into and weather considerations! Going for something warmer? Colder? Mild temperament? I like the idea of Iceland and my fiancée likes Italy Smiley smile

We’re September 2023 and delaying our honeymoon by a month to do Paris, Naples, and Santorini in October. It’ll be a little cooler by then, but the tourist crowds will be gone for the year and prices are much cheaper. We booked rooms with hot tubs so we can warm up there if it gets too chilly.

I’m September 24 as well. I honestly have no idea where I want to go. I haven’t really thought about where my “dream vacation” will be because I enjoy traveling pretty much anywhere. I feel like I’ll end up going some place with a beach, since it’s what my fiancé likes.

I totally feel you! There’s so many places we want to visit, but I haven’t figured out what speaks to me most. We’re definitely going over seas (especially because I never have!), there’s just so many options. Do you have something you enjoy most when traveling?

That sounds lovely! I think we may consider delaying our honeymoon too. Especially since we are trying to be as fiscally conscious as we can. What was the booking process like for you?

Since we’re doing three different countries, we just treated each one separately to decide what we want to do and then went from there to determine priorities (like our hotel in Santorini is a splurge, so we went with a cheaper option in Italy). We actually just finished booking all our flights this past weekend, which was a huge relief to cross off the list!

I like to explore the place I go to. I get kinda bored sitting at a beach all day. However, my fiancé loves the beach. So some place that meets both of our favorite actives.

This is for any couples looking for domestic USA: San Francisco is warmer, sunnier, and less busy during September/ October. And on the other coast, I hear Maine is beautiful, less crowded, and less expensive in September/ October. Not sure about best foliage months for 2024 though. Best wishes.
