September Brides; Date & Invitations

Rachael, on May 17, 2020 at 8:40 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

Hi September brides! My wedding is 09/26 and I was just wondering what everyone was thinking about ordering things with the wedding date on it? I have so many favors, gifts, etc. that are personalized with our date and didn't know what everyone thought about it! I will more than likely wait until closer to order it, but waiting makes me so anxious!!

Also, what is everyone thinking about invitations? Are you waiting to get them printed? If so, when do you plan on getting them printed/sending them out?

I am just so conflicted. I know I can only control so much and have to wait everything out, but there is so much to plan and I feel like I can't do half of it because of covid!

I hope everyone is doing well & I am praying for everyone else going through this situation too!

I'm holding off on invitations (for me changes the dates) because if there are restrictions in place I will have to cut my guest list. I'm waiting until June/July to make a decision. I did order my change the dates, just haven't sent them out yet.

Hey there! I’m an October bride, but I am also holding off on purchasing anything else that has my date on it, Incase it has to change.
I have sent save the dates, but I also won’t be sending out invitations until about August or September , just Incase anything changes.
Waiting and the anticipation of not knowing is no fun, but it may be for the best with the uncertainty. Thank you for your prayers! Praying for you as well! This too shall pass!!!!

I’m making my decision whether or not to postpone in early July, so I will hold off ordering anything personalized until then. I would just hate to waste the money! Hoping everything works out though!

I am also waiting until early July to decide to postpone. But we are going to send invitations mid June with an insert saying to check the wedding website for updates. If we do reschedule we will post and also contact everyone individually.

As someone who has already purchased a bunch of stuff (including invitations!) with our September date on it I would suggest holding off. It’s looking like I will have to postpone my wedding and I deeply regret being so “ahead of the game” and buying personalized items so soon!!

I'm holding on until a few more months we changed the date from 02/29/2024 to 09/21/2021 - I guess I'm trying to see if this will be the for sure date or if we will move it out once more. I'm not super worried on invites because it will mainly be close family event with a sprinkle of friends and so max 50 invites.

Thank you to everyone who responded in this discussion! It definitely seems like a majority of us are waiting. I will buy everything I need to that doesn't have the date on it now, then hopefully as time gets closer, that is when everything will be okay and I can purchase the personalized items (:

How are you wording the insert? I am considering doing the same thing but have no clue how to word something in this regards!

I didn’t want to be to specific or wordy so I just put this on the detail card: “In light of the rapidly-changing situation, please refer to our website for the most up to date information regarding our wedding:”
