I just need some reassurance, guidance, or advice. Our wedding date is 9/12/20, we live in Texas and our COVID-19 cases are spiking. According to one of the projections, if we continue on this constant, we will see a quarter million cases by early fall. 😳 Lots of the projections show a peak in mid-August. I am a nurse and I definitely have everyone’s health and safety at mind. I’ve been keeping up with the CDC guidelines for wedding venues. My wedding was 80% planned pre-covid. I put my planning on pause because covid is changing everyday and it’s effecting how we plan. I know I need to send out my invitations SOON, but I’m just not sure if it’s better to postpone now. Half of my guests are out of town and the other half are in town and that includes my bridal party too. What I’m asking is, what are you thoughts for September weddings. Who is postponing? Who is staying put? I know covid isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, I just don’t want to postpone and it be alright in September. Maybe I’m probably just in denial that this is happening to us. No bride should pile this kind of stress on top of the wedding planning stress. Help. 😔

Oh gosh see. I don’t want to be remembered as “the wedding where I got covid” hahaha I want them to remember the fun they had.

Thank you lovey ladies for all of your input and advice. FH and I decided to postpone to May 2021. It absolutely sucks, but it is for all of our guests’ and vendors’ health and safety.

My wedding isn’t until March 2021, however if I was a September 2020 bride, I’d probably postpone until next year. My fear would be spikes in cases and like a few days before the wedding, I’d have to cancel/postpone. I’m getting married in Delaware. The governor ended up delaying phase 3, and we have a few places at the beaches that closed down again. I think that would be more stressful canceling or postponing the wedding a few days or weeks before than just postponing now. My fiancé and i agreed that if there’s a second wave next year during the time of our wedding, we are just canceling and having a small intimate wedding. If that’s allowed. Neither of us want to go through planning the wedding over again. However, I’m hopeful we will all be in the green by September.

Congrats my wedding is the same day this year and find myself asking the same thing. I have looked for backup venues cause each county has it's own rules. Worse cones to worse we r getting married at a public patk by the water. I called the city and no permit is needed.. Im getting soo stressed and not from the wedding but from the stupid virus crap
