My fiancé and I can’t afford the luxury of hiring a lot of venders. And we decided to get married in the morning. My fiancé and I are thinking of utilizing our guests to help set up after our ceremony…. And having our food in coolers in our suv while we get married. Yesh…what are you doing!

    So. I’m confused. I can’t afford a coordinator. Who can I use?

I spoke to a coordinator today. Basic price was $1500!!!
I’m getting married at a chapel. Then we’ll all going to the park beach for the reception. So it’s a DIY.

High school students? Where do I get these high school students?
But that is a good idea of taking pictures of how everything should be done!
I just don’t know who to ask. My coworker offered to help today. And I feel weird having my guests help.

Omg 7,000 for a florist?! That’s insane… we are paying a little under 2,000 and I’m happy with that price !

What about hiring people from Taskrabbit? Or ask around in the community if there are day job posting boards somewhere?

So I just went on Task Rabbit. Says, “sorry, this task is out of our coverage area.” ….

Please do not ask your guests to set up. Hire staff from thumbtack.com inexpensively. Also storing food in your car is a food safety violation.

We hired a month of coordinator who is a lifesaver and event staffing.

I just checked out Thumbtack! Thank you! There was only one person who’s in the area and hope she’s reasonable in price!
And thank you! This was my fiancé’s suggestion because we don’t have anyone to pick up the food!

I would love to have a month of coordinator. I spoke to one today and her price was double my rent!!

Last time I hired someone off of taskrabbit (don't know if that app still exists) and she was very affordable and did a great job!

I looked into TaskRabbit. When I put in the address it says, “Sorry, this is outside of our coverage area.” Le sigh 😔

That's a good question. If you don't have any friends with HS aged children, could you contact your alumnae person at your former H.S.? Or contact Admin at your Nursing program? There must be a student who asks them for leads on part-time work or workstudy. There's no power issues as long as you pay them a fair wage. Good luck!

Omg this seems like a lot of work to find Teens to help you! I don’t really contact my high school or any reason. I’m not in R Nursing school yet either…

Our parents and wedding party are helping with setup. We are utilizing our center pieces as aisle decor as well, so a transition will happen to A) help with cleanup but also B) save money.

No. I’m using my bridesmaid, groomsmen, and parents. Officially they don’t count as guests. They count as wedding helpers.

Your wedding party is made up of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. They are different from your wedding guests. 🥰

Interesting. I thought that’s what a wedding was all about! A party to celebrate getting married! Anyways…lol. I don’t have a bridesmaid or groomsmen. So I’m trying to find out how I can get my wedding set and and torn down at the end of the day.. and for picking up food as well.
