Sex after the wedding: Sore!

Alma, on December 3, 2018 at 3:38 PM Posted in Married Life 0 13

Okay so I am now 2 1/2 weeks married and my husband and I have been very sexually active to the point that my lady part is sore. I honestly don't know if I can take anymore without my hoohaa tearing up LOL! We have sex maybe 4-6 times a week and was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced the soreness and maybe even pain from so much soreness? I also want to add that we've dated for 9 years before we got married so we're also trying to get pregnant.

I was sitting at work earlier today and it was literally throbbing down there and thought about posting this to the forum since its a slow Monday lol. *Sorry if this is TMI *

You’ll probably just need to pop some Advil and take a break.

I agree with this. Sounds like a break is needed. Being sore is nothing to be concerned about, health wise, it is just your body telling you to stop for a bit.

Another thing that some women have issues with is "dryness," so if you were using condoms consider using lube (without spermicide since you are trying to get pregnant) or even getting off birth control can change your hormones and stuff... Just saying...

Your body is telling you to take it easy. I've been there. Maybe try a few other positions, or slow it down a bit. Also sorry to be TMI, but if you're that sore that you're throbbing, you are definitely on the path of tearing yourself if you haven't already. You can't necessarily get pregnant every day of the month anyhow, so if you are trying I suggest tracking your cycle and then having more sex around the time you are ovulating.

If you are in pain, it's time to take a chill pill on the sex and relax a bit! Good luck!

I would take a break. The pain your feeling could lead to tearing which could lead to scar tissue, which could be a very long process to get back to normal and feel normal again. I would take an Advil or Aleve, and take a break. I'd also talk to your doctor, I'm not sure it's normal to feel that way regardless of how many times a week you are doing it. I'd suggest a water-based lubricant too. I'd download an app to track your cycle & ovulation so you know when you both are most likely to conceive.

Oh yes! If I didn't get pregnant this month then my cycle is due this week so I will definitely get a break.

Yeah I think I might have got a little tearing so we are definitely taking a break. I'm not in intolerable pain its just once in a while throughout the day that I feel a sore and slight pain sensation. If we didn't conceive this month, I will be buying the ovulation tests from Amazon as well

The glow app is really useful for tracking ovulation and trying to get pregnant.

If this keeps up once you take a break, get checked for a urinary tract infection. There is such a thing as "honeymoon cystitis," in which the irritation from a whole lot of sex ends in a bacterial infection.

Ovia is a great app for tracking while you're TTC or just even just thinking about it.
