Sexy, Wavy Hair Down without the Frizz?

Alyssa, on October 19, 2021 at 11:49 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4
Hi everyone!I am getting married on Friday and have had two hair trials that have not been quite right. My first trial was a frizzy mess that was overly teased, and my second trial was MUCH better and truly quite beautiful, but turned out to be a different look than what I want.I have thin, wavy, long hair. Pics below. This is what I usually do for my hair as a guest to a wedding. Just a hair wand on low. And I like it.

For my wedding, I want to wear my hair down like this, but with more luxurious waves/curls and less frizz. Keeping the volume. See kardashian pic. I by no means expect that degree of volume (I know she's using hair extensions), but hopefully you can see what I mean by more luxurious and less frizz. It's just a more deliberate, formal effect than the hair I do myself.I want a sexy wavy hairstyle that suits the elegance of the event. Can someone help me figure what exactly I should be saying to my hair stylist in order to get this? And what I need to do?Thanks in advance!

example 1 = ideal style of curls/waves, ideal effect

example 2 = would love this too. i don't need a ton of volume, and i have the length already, just want my hair to be smooth, non-frizzy, and sufficiently formal for the wedding

Also I am not wearing a veil, so that won't be a factor.

These are all beautiful options, and your own hair is beautiful so I'm sure the right stylist will be able to give you what you want. Before booking anyone I would send them the photos of what you want and ask them if they are able to do that. Put extra emphasis on "smoothness" since that is your main concern. Also if you're open to holding products like hair sprays, gels, creams, those all help a ton too (I'm a curly-haired girl so I'm well familiar with frizz).

You would want to use a large barrel curling iron (1.5 inches) and/or hot rollers to get those loose, big curls and the volume up top - I would suggest just trying it yourself if you're this close to your date and haven't found a stylist that is suitable. The trick is to curl away from your face!

Have you ever had a Brazilian blowout?? I also have long curly hair that is prone to frizz when over styled. My stylist convinced me to get a Brazilian blowout, and it has been a game changer! My hair is now smooth, shiny and frizz free… and stays that way when curled!
