Oh my goodness - that's a beautiful cover!!
I think you can definitely work with the tempo! A lot of popular processional songs are very slow paced: Can't Help Falling In Love, Make You Feel My Love, even Pachelbel's Canon stats super slow! Shallow is even on our list of 30 Modern Processional Songs That Cue All The Tears .
You can do some at-home practice as well - as silly as it seems it will show you very quickly if you're comfortable at that pace!
