Shapewear Alterations (silly question).

Sabrina, on October 10, 2019 at 3:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Can shapewear be altered? My dress has a back cut out, so a high waist brief won't work and a low tummy brief wont work and I want full tummy coverage. So I found the following online, but these make it difficult or impossible to go to the bathroom (click on links to be taken to the webpage). Do you think you can have a altered for snaps (like a baby onesie) to make using the rest room possible? I am really trying to find a solution....

I don't have any experience with shapewear (I flat refuse to wear it), but a good seamstress will be able to tell you if they can be altered though.

They weren't photos but links to the shapewear website.

I think you could always ask about altering with snaps. If they're unable to do that, would it work if you just cut a hole? I know it seems strange but it's better than having to completely undress!

I can't open the links, but I bought some from Target that has clasps down the front and a hole in them for bathroom purposes..

A hole wouldn't work because they are thongs.
