Share your bridesmaids dresses and inspiration

These are always so difficult because you have to find something attractive that is inexpensive, and flattering on a variety of body types and skin tones.

What styles have you seen that you love? Any vendors that you are drawn to? If you have been a bridesmaid in the past, is there anything concerning the dresses you would change or keep this time around?

I loved the color Wisteria on Azazie, so that's the color I'm choosing for my girls. I'm letting each girl pick which floor length dress they want though.

    this is the color:

My one and only bridesmaid picked out Evalleen from Azazie and I picked the Cabernet color. Well she picked out a bunch of possibilities and I picked out some and this was our only overlapping one.

I found this seller on Etsy. She has different styles that look great on various body types. I asked my bridesmaids to stick to silk in champagne but let them choose the sleeve style. My MOH will be in the halter, 2 chose the flutter sleeve and 2 chose the 3 quarter length. She also has various styles in velvet. Smiley smile

My bridesmaids wore the same dress - I only had two, and they both happened to be the same size and shape. It was a very flattering tea-length A-line gown in black, with a sash of crimson on the hips. Both looked fabulous in it.

If I were to have bridesmaids again, I would have done the "pick your own dress in this color, fabric, and length" thing. It was still pretty offbeat when I got married so I wasn't confident in doing it, even though I really liked - I'd even say preferred - the look of it in photos.

I used Azazie with the dusty sage color. I narrowed down the dresses to about 2 dozen styles that I felt would compliment my dress well, and then let each bridesmaid pick from there. Its pretty common now for bridesmaids to wear different styles and even different colors (ie different shades of blues or pinks) so don't feel like you have to find one dress that works for everyone!

I didn't want a 'bridesmaidy' looking dress, I wanted more of a cocktail style. I did have quite a few limitations - it had to have sleeves because our original date was set to be during spring in the highlands where it gets cold. It had to accommodate my sister potentially being pregnant by the date, and I wanted it to be pink.

This is what I ended up finding. In real life it is a LOT darker pink so I actually prefer the picture to the real dress, but it is very pretty. The top half is stretchy, so very comfortable, and you can wear a normal bra underneath, which I knew was important for me, when I was a bridesmaid!

It's from UK brand Coast. The only thing I'm worried about now, is that we've moved our wedding to the end of summer, so it might be too warm!

From past bridesmaids experience, I 100% knew I didn’t want to get dresses from David’s Bridal. I have found their dresses over-priced for super cheap fabrics and poor craftsmanship.

Originally I envisioned a mismatched bridal party with rose gold and champagne gowns, but when I polled my girls, literally all of them expressed an interest in wearing rose gold. I gave up my vision to make my girls happy and gave them dress choices that ranged from $80–185 from across a few websites. The vibe I went for was glam, elegant and feminine. Everyone looked beautiful!

Those are super cute. I quite like the mismatched look, but I only have two bridesmaids and thought they wouldn't look like bridesmaids at all, if they didn't wear the same dress. If I'd had more, I think it would have been nice!

My inspiration! Also I got dresses for my girls pretty similar! I'm so in love how they look! Wish I had a pic of the actual dresses but they haven't come in yet.

AZAZIE.COM!! dresses are all affordable, you can create a list of dresses for them to pick from or just give them some guidelines to follow (length, fabric, etc) and pick a color to go with your wedding style. one of my bridesmaids is a seamstress and she was amazed at the quality of the dresses for such affordable prices. highly recommend
