Share your proposal story! 💍

We were on a 4 day vacation in Las Vegas two weeks ago having the time of our lives! He had purchased tickets beforehand to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel. We were up there observing the strip and enjoying ourselves with other tourists when he suddenly started talking about our relationship and how long we've been together (4 years this month)! I knew what was about to happen and then he dropped to one knee. I was so overwhelmed and excited that I cannot remember anything he said LOL. But it was emotional and I was so happy. We are so excited for this next step of our relationship and to spend our lives together.

We went on a post Easter family get together. We were “early” for our reservation, so his fam suggested we go to the Botanic Gardens & wall around & take pictures. Halfway through tour walkthrough he proposed with the help of his fam, I loved it.

little did I know that he had a “family meeting” the previous weekend with everyone including my mom while I was working so that they could go over the plan for that day. He says he did a PowerPoint presentation & everything for them so that they knew their jobs of who’s gonna say or do what in order for us to “randomly” go to the Garden.

Weell, it was a rainy night and we had planned date night. The rain was too heavy so we missed the last check-in at the restaurant. We tried finding another but out f luck, it was too late. Walking back we started reminiscing on our relationship and he was so disappointed in not getting into the restaurant, little did I know he planned to propose. So on our way back home he just didn't want ro wait and got down on one knee on the wet street. It wasn't the perfect according to his plans but the moment was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.

I don't have any pictures because I didn't want anyone to be in on the proposal. I wanted it private & the only reason he knew that is because our best friends got engaged in front of a crowd and I mentioned that while it was beautiful, I would never want that. He did so good, we had plans to go to dinner, happened to be the first date place. Then after we were done (it was a random Wednesday night) he said we should go to our favorite winery for Sangria for a trip I was taking the next day to Boston to celebrate my best friends bachelorette party. I didn't even think of it, but the winery was closed, why would it be open on a Wednesday night? This is a winery we go to often and my favorite area is just when you pull up to the winery there is an old truck (see photo) with wine barrels that I always thought was so pretty. He got out of the car next to the truck and asked me to get out and got down on one knee....I WAS FLOORED. This is the guy who never wanted to get married ever. I shook/cried for 10 minutes after the proposal, it was so surreal.

He suggested a T-shirt competition for Christmas and we would have our families vote on who bought the best shirt. Well he opened mine first - which was a funny saying. Then I opened mine and it said "Will You Marry Me?" He got down on one knee, and I said yes before he could even ask. It was cool because my family got to see it. It was really special and 100% a surprise. I was actually expecting a proposal a year in the future! It was a very special moment and I"ll never forget it!

I was proposed to in a hot air balloon! My dad is a pilot, so I've been ballooning for over 15 years now, and have seen many proposals, I always thought it was super awesome and special. Since it's so near and dear to my heart, I always thought it would be perfect!

Anyway, I knew he had the ring because we'd been talking about marriage for a while, but we talked about waiting until we went to California in November to meet his family, so I didn't expect it for a while.

Dennis, the owner, also throws us into baskets when people cancel on us last minute, so I didn't think anything of it when he asked us if we wanted to go for a ride.

He proposed about half way into the balloon ride, I cried! The ring was PERFECT, he picked it out all by himself!

We got engaged in Antarctica! It was my 7th continent and it had always been my dream to make it to every continent. I had hoped it would happen there only because it would be so magical, but didn't want to expect it to happen there since I didn't want to be disappointed. But lucky for me it did and it was the most amazing thing in the world. The continent alone is amazing, but this was the icing on the cake! Best trip I've ever taken!

I cut their faces out lol, but my fiancé and the kids went to get me breakfast on mother’s day. He said it was a long line so it would be a minute ( he changed the kids shirts at that time) and then he walked in holding our 5 month daughter and my 7 year old son was holding roses. I noticed the shirt was a different color and then it hit me. I seen the ring in the roses and i read both shirts and I cried and asked if he was serious probably like 15 times before I said yes

When I originally was asked to marry my fiancé, I thought he was joking. It was a complete shock. He didn’t ask my family nor my friends as I barely converse with them. We went out on a date that we planned at least one a month. Took the night out and he got on one knee and proposed in front of the entire restaurant. It was amazing.

So I knew it was happening and I had a hunch when. I came across his bank statement for a jeweler so I found out, and we were headed to Hawaii not too longer after. I had to see what would happen. When we got there the first day nothing happened, neither the second day so now I was getting confused. After hiking at the waterfalls all day we went back to the hotel to unwind. When we got back he went down to the bar to grab drinks. While he was gone I called a girlfriend telling her that I didn't think it was going to happen on the trip after all and convinced myself of that. When he came back he suggested we get dressed up and go to dinner at one of the fancy restaurants in the hotel. I kept telling him I just wanted to relax but he insisted (I didn't think anything of it!) After we got dressed he suggested we walk the beach first since the sun was beginning to set. As we walked down towards the beach he put a plumeria flower in my hair(part of it later). As we walked we stopped to enjoy the view, when I turned to talk to him the flower fell in the sand (how perfect) I went to reach for it but he insisted I get it. He went to pick it up and bent down on one knee with the flower and I got mad because i thought he was just kidding so I pushed him in the sand, he got up and then presented the ring and I sobbed like crazy! To this day I wish I didn't partly ruin it but I wouldn't change it for the world.

He proposed where we first met, his parents back yard. lol It was just us and our children and it was perfect!

His parents got us a weekend getaway to Lookout Mountain here in Colorado. It’s where we had a picnic on our first date. When we were leaving, he snuck some extra bags from the hotel into the car without me noticing. He took me to where we had our first date, I made us grilled cheese sandwiches and deviled eggs. The hotel made us ham and cheese sandwiches and mimosas. And that’s where he proposed!
It wasn’t a surprise, we had talked about it for months. But how he proposed was a surprise. He kept that secret to himself!
