As for me, my DH proposed on Christmas Eve in 2016. The proposal itself was a complete surprise. I thought it would happen sometime later in 2017 based on conversations we had. On the day he proposed he took me to one of my favorite places in Napa for lunch then we went to a Christmas Eve service at the church we later got married in. Afterwards we stopped in one of the beautiful neighborhoods known for their Christmas lights and walked around looking at the lights. It was there on the way back to the car that he "dropped" his keys and ended up on one knee. I thought he was having trouble getting up so I kept pulling him but he wouldn't budge. That was when I saw him pull out the ring box. I was very surprised!

    Mr. and Mrs. Claus 2018

Troy and Cheryl each moved to the small town of Saint George, Utah with their families and then met in middle school in 1978. They became friends and each had a crush on each other throughout middle school and high school, at which point they then graduated and went their separate ways without ever going on a date.

Fast forward 34 years, during that time they kept in touch and we’re friends as they each went about living a separate lives and raising families. During the autumn of 2018 they discovered that they were both single and were finally able to have that first date. the old crush rekindled and quickly became new found love.

Troy had been playing Santa Claus since the age of 13 and has not missed a year and all those years. He invited Cheryl to become a part of the annual celebration of spreading joy to the community and all the children, and she excitedly joined in on the fun. Their first appearance together as Mr. and Mrs. clause was December 1 at the breakfast with Santa or Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. They were a hit and were quickly booked for even more events that filled up the already busy schedule for this season.

One of those new bookings came from Alyssa Ence, A professional photographer that wanted to hire the couple for her family party. Unbeknownst to Cheryl, Troy went about making arrangements To trade Santa Claus services for portfolio photos. Then a few days prior to Alyssa Ence’s family party, Troy contacted her to find out if a proposal would be something that her family would let him do and that she would be willing to photograph. Troy knew that the opportunity to preserve the special moment would be treasured.

So with that secret plan in motion, Troy and Cheryl showed up to surprise the children of the family as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. They met with each child and photographs were taken by Alyssa. After each child had the chance to visit with Santa And Mrs. clause and discussed their list of wishes for Christmas morning, Alyssa asked Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus if they would like to pose for one last picture together. After the picture had been captured, Troy dropped to a knee and grab for his Santa bag. Cheryl was concerned and asked him, “what are you doing? Let me help you.” And then Troy reached into the bag and pulled out a red box and looked up, opening the box and asked, “Mrs. Claus, will you marry me?” The realization of what was happening took a moment for Cheryl to comprehend. And then within a mere moment her eyes were filled with tears as she muttered, “Yes!”

The family cheered as Santa stood up and embraced his new fiancé.

My Fiancé proposed December 13, 2013!! Cannot believe it's been 5 years! He made a reservation for our anniversary dinner at an Italian restaurant in the town we live. (It was our 4 year anniversary, we were high school sweet hearts and stayed together after we graduated.)
We ordered our meals like normal and then our desserts. He told me he had my gift for me already and had me close my eyes. When I opened them, the ring was sitting in front of me on the table with him with the biggest smile on his face. The first thing I said was "Are you serious?!" He said yes and asked me to marry him. I didnt say yes, I asked him "Did you ask my dad for permission?" He replied yes, then I screamed, YES! Knowing that he went the extra mile for me by asking my father made my heart so filled. It's a night I will never forget, a night I will cherish forever.

My FH and I has had many conversations about me not wanting my engagement ring on my birthday because I wanted that day to have its own special meaning. On June 23, 2018 (MY BIRTHDAY) we were on our way driving to our reservation, funny whenever we are together we cant stop talking to each other but for some reason that day it was the quietest ride EVER! When we first started dating we met at Tony's Diner. We tend to pass Tony's Diner just about every other weekend. On that day he stop at Tony's Diner and parked in the same spot he parked where we first met, I'm sitting there and thinking what is this man doing we are going to be late for our reservation, he asked me to meet him at the back of the truck, I get out telling him I don't want to be late for our dinner. He gets out and walks to the back of the truck gets down on one knee and ask me to be his wife, before I could say anything he opens the box and the ring was hanging on the edge of the box I said honey the ring is going to fall out the boxSmiley laugh he puts the ring back in its place and said of course you would notice that now can I get my answer, I laughed and said OF COURSE I WOULD BE YOUR WIFE. Although I didn't want it on my birthday, (I'm glad he didn't listen) it was the perfect giftSmiley love

On June 5th 2018 we had plans to go to Florida for vacation. So on vacation the kids an my fiance were walking on the beach on June 6th and my daughter was asking If I trusted her and I told her I didn't trust her as far as I could throw her lol. Then my fiance turns around and says do you trust me? I then replied I do trust you futher that I can throw you Haha. At that moment the next thing he does was gets on one knee on the Beach and tells me " I love how you love my children and I love how you love me I also love your children as if they were my own and you would make me the happiest man alive if you would be my wife, will you marry me"? I think I was in a state of shock and crying because I didn't answer him at 1st then I just dropped to my knees hugging him around his neck and then he says so what's the answer yes or no? Of course I said yes!!

Our first vacation together, we went on a cruise. We managed to find our way to the front of the ship, our attempt at re-creating Titanic. We hung out silently while taking in the stunning view of the night sky reflecting off the ocean. He then leaned in to whisper in my ear "I am falling in love with you". (EEeeeEEeee!!) Fast forward to a year later and we are on another cruise (we love traveling, cant you tell?). We, once again, found our way to that spot since it became so special to us. Earlier that day, he had given me a little box full of cards that had memories, pictures, and reasons he loved me as a surprise present. We were taking some pictures when he pulled out another card from his jacket and said, "I think this one is missing from your box". I read the beautiful message and then move the card from my view to see him kneeling in front of me - it was a dream. So special and so us, I love that man to no end.
